Business Overview:

The Equity Derivatives US Stock Trading team is part of Equity Derivatives and Global Markets Americas. Traders interact with sales and structuring teams across Asia, Europe and US to design, price and pitch trade ideas to clients.

Traders are in charge of executing the transactions, hedging them and optimize the risk management while following all regulatory constraints and staying within mandates and risk limits.

Customer served by the desk are mainly Hedge Funds, Asset Managers, Pensions / Endowments / Foundations, Insurance Companies, Distribution, Corporates, both in the Americas and worldwide.

Responsibilities:

As a trader on the desk, the candidate will be covering US stock exotic book. Part of his role will be to manage the world exotics book coverage from the US but also to be the second trader of the dispersion book. The main responsibility is to assist senior traders in their daily tasks. Those responsibilities include:

  • Provide coverage of trading book across a suite of volatility products and perform risk management duties on a portfolio of derivatives positions
  • Execute trades for volatility based derivative financial products
  • Quantitative data analysis of volatility markets to improve and automate pricing parameters of client deals
  • Use knowledge of options theory and models to spot volatility arbitrage and build strategies that can be used by the desk and clients
  • Manage position, monitor rigorously PNL, risk and qualitative analysis
  • Pricing, and transacting in financial derivatives, including advanced exotic derivatives.
  • Researching, designing and creating innovative derivatives products for clients
  • Creating, programming and improving quantitative tools and software to perform the above structuring functions.
  • Collaborating closely with functions on business related to equity derivatives or quantitative financial products: credit risk, market risk, compliance, legal, marketing and other teams as needed.


Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • Strong technical skills including high proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and VBA.
  • Strong coding & programming skills in languages such as Python, R and/or Matlab.
  • Thorough understanding of financial derivatives and stochastic calculus.
  • Strong Science or Engineering background, preferably Master's Degree in a quantitative or business relevant field.
  • Experience in financial modeling, quantitative finance, and statistical analysis of financial data.
  • Multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to quickly respond to issues under pressure.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to above:

  • High GPA.
  • Knowledge of Financial Econometrics.
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and Pattern Recognition.
  • Knowledge of Bloomberg.

The expected starting salary range for this position is between $225,000 to $240,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
