In this role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor across architecture domains, partnering with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and technology leaders to ensure information architecture standards are applied consistently, emerging technologies are evaluated responsibly, and the firm's most critical programs are delivered with quality and durability.

Job responsibilities

  • Advise and lead on information architecture strategy across multiple products, applications, and technologies within the Middle Office & Shared Services portfolio
  • Translate highly complex technical issues, trends, and architectural approaches for senior leadership to drive firm-wide innovation and enable well-informed decisions about target-state information architecture
  • Drive adoption and implementation of technical methods in specialized information architecture fields, in line with the latest product development methodologies
  • Establish and lead an architecture governance body, defining standards, metrics, and guardrails that improve decision traceability, cost-performance outcomes, and review-board effectiveness
  • Create durable, reusable frameworks that improve velocity and quality of output across teams and functions within the Commercial & Investment Bank
  • Partner across domains to reduce tooling duplication, clarify ownership, and maintain authoritative technology status and lifecycle governance
  • Evaluate emerging capabilities for enterprise fit and adoption readiness, recommending the best technology solutions to achieve future-state information architecture
  • Lead reuse-first adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate architecture analysis, option evaluation, and delivery of strategic global solutions, with human-in-the-loop validation and appropriate handling of sensitive data
  • Establish portfolio-level guardrails for AI-assisted and agentic workflows used in architecture and engineering governance, including traceability, auditability, and control expectations aligned to resiliency and security standards
  • Champion the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Formal training or certification on information architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability across enterprise-scale environments
  • Deep expertise across data management architecture areas, including relational, NoSQL, and graph database technologies
  • Hands-on experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) tools and processes for managing data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes
  • Proficiency in data analytics, data mining tools, and data governance frameworks and practices
  • Demonstrated experience influencing across functions and teams to deliver modern, target-state architecture aligned to business strategy
  • Extensive practical cloud-native experience, with a strong understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud operational models
  • Demonstrated experience leading the safe adoption of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within architecture workflows, including validation practices and awareness of data sensitivity
  • Ability to assess and validate AI-assisted architecture recommendations before adoption, ensuring outcomes align to resiliency, security, and auditability expectations
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions and approaches to achieve future-state information architecture

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Advanced certifications in cloud, enterprise architecture, IT service management, site reliability engineering, or security disciplines
  • Expertise in operational automation, event intelligence, and self-healing workflows integrated with ticketing and incident management processes
  • Experience with enterprise configuration management databases and asset intelligence programs that improve control compliance and cost transparency
