Vice President, Relationship Manager - Food & Consumer

BMO Commercial Bank is seeking a Vice President, Relationship Manager to join our Food & Consumer team. This role is responsible for originating, developing, and managing relationships with middle-market companies across the food industry, including manufacturers, processors, distributors, ingredient companies, and related sectors.

This is a growth-oriented role focused on new business development. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of prospecting, calling on companies, developing relationships with business owners and executives, and generating commercial banking opportunities.

Working closely with credit, treasury, capital markets, sponsor coverage, and product partners, the VP will deliver tailored financial solutions while expanding BMO's presence within the food sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a business development strategy to grow BMO's Food & Consumer portfolio.
  • Proactively call on prospective clients and centers of influence to generate new commercial banking opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with business owners, CFOs, private equity sponsors, and industry participants.
  • Structure and deliver lending, treasury management, and other banking solutions to meet client needs.
  • Partner with credit and risk teams to evaluate opportunities and manage portfolio performance.
  • Represent BMO within the food industry through conferences, trade associations, and networking events.
  • Meet or exceed annual new business and portfolio growth objectives.


Qualifications
  • 7+ years of commercial banking, corporate banking, investment banking or related financial services experience.
  • Proven success sourcing and winning new client relationships.
  • Knowledge of the food & beverage industry a plus.
  • Strong relationship management, sales, and networking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across product, credit, and risk teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education & experience required.


Salary:

$122,400.00 - $228,000.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked.
