About Team:

Welcome to the Production Services - Global Payments and Trade team. This team provides proactive and reactive monitoring and support of the organization's critical applications that support our client facing platforms within the BNY Mellon eco system. This support includes actively monitoring, managing, and maintaining the application and hardware infrastructure for the Applications providing these services to our internal and external clients. The team also provides reporting, performance metrics and change release management. The service is delivered in a consistent, predictable, and reliable manner.

The Global Payments and Trade Platform is part of the Client Platforms group and provides end-to-end accountability for the delivery of enterprise services, solutions, and capabilities internally. It enables all Client Platform teams to deliver their services effectively. Its purpose is to support and optimize related capabilities to create enterprise platforms, and to streamline and unite business areas into revenue-generating client platforms.

About the Role:

As a Vice President, Production Services Application Support member, he/she will be responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of our technology applications and platforms. This senior role is crucial in ensuring the stability, efficiency, and continuous availability of the systems that support our financial operations. The Production Services team is monitoring the real-time dashboards for first touch remediation of events impacting our critical applications. Where not supported they are accountable for confirming that proper attention is being applied to each of the events by the team. Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide governance for the Production Services group in the region, inclusive of the mentoring of new members.
  • Resolve issues related to critical applications, servers, networks, and telecommunications.
  • Build and maintain standard procedures and documentation to troubleshoot and resolve events.
  • Work with platform engineers to reduce mean time to resolution and enhance the delivery of the service.
  • Provide support and coverage for any disaster recovery or business contingency events.
  • Perform routine System Maintenance, upgrades, and backups. Following established procedures and compliance regulations.


Qualifications

The successful candidate for this position will possess the following combination of education and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science and/or equivalent work experience in similar fields.
  • 12+ years of experience in technology support areas. Including Network, Windows, Unix, and/or Mainframe performing hands-on IT Infrastructure & Application troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with database management and knowledge of payments ecosystem a plus
  • Proficiency in Automation Solutions, Prometheus, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk and Python automation scripts.
  • Strong understanding of the Financial System and Trading platforms.
  • Background and experience working in an enterprise environment with ITIL Service Management disciplines, inclusive of Request, Incident, Problem and Change processes.

Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee's eligible dependents.
