Position SummaryThe Vice President, Portfolio Strategy & Execution (PS&E) is a senior commercial leader responsible for shaping and advancing portfolio-wide capabilities, strategic planning, operational excellence, customer engagement enablement, and cross-functional execution across U.S. Oncology Solid Tumor.
This leader translates business priorities into actionable strategies, drives governance and disciplined execution, and strengthens the capabilities needed to deliver growth, improve customer impact, and increase organizational effectiveness. The role serves as a key connector across Sales, Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Learning, Finance, Strategy, Operations, and enabling functions.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipLead portfolio-level strategic planning processes, including business planning, long-range planning, performance reviews, and executive governance.
Translate enterprise and franchise priorities into clear execution plans that drive growth, operational excellence, and organizational effectiveness.
Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on portfolio priorities, capability investments, organizational effectiveness, and execution risks.
Advance innovative approaches that strengthen commercial competitiveness and elevate organizational capabilities.
Portfolio Strategy & ExecutionDrive governance and execution of high-impact cross-functional initiatives across the Oncology portfolio.
Ensure disciplined execution of strategic priorities through milestone tracking, performance management, and leadership reviews.
Improve ways of working, simplify processes, and enhance execution across commercial teams.
Partner with franchise and functional leaders to align priorities and accelerate delivery against business objectives.
Organizational Capability DevelopmentLead teams focused on strategy, execution, customer enablement, operations, and business performance.
Advance capabilities in account management to ensure consistent access to our existing J&J oncology product portfolio and to ensure rapid adoption as new products and line extensions are introduced across key accounts
Strengthen critical commercial capabilities that improve customer engagement, launch readiness, and execution excellence.
Develop scalable approaches that increase organizational agility and readiness for future growth.
Foster innovation, continuous improvement, and enterprise knowledge sharing across the organization.
Advance AI enablement across the portfolio by championing and embedding AI-ready capabilities, tools, and bringing an intelligent orchestration lens to this work—synchronizing insights and coordinating action across roles, systems, and workflows so the right support reaches the right customer at the right time, reducing administrative burden and accelerating cross-functional execution.

QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or related industry.
Demonstrated success leading large-scale commercial, strategy, operations, marketing, sales, market access, or portfolio organizations.
Proven ability to lead through complexity and influence at senior executive levels.
Strong financial, strategic, and operational business acumen.
Experience leading large cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
