Full Job Description
Summary: Reporting to the reporting to title, the Vice President - PERE Accounting will be an integral part of the team's success. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Vice President will be responsible for the day to day administration of Private Equity Funds, delivery to clients, and assisting members of the team. • Manage a team of PERE accountants including training and professional development • Review and understand Fund documents to ensure proper application of accounting and reporting obligations • Review and calculate the Net Asset Value as required by the Fund documents and/or Fund manager • Review and prepare waterfall calculations and liaise with Investor Services team in relation to capital calls and distributions • Complete daily internal requirements and sign-off prior to the end of the day • Review and prepare the annual financial statements, supporting information in relations to the year-end audit • Meet all internal and external deliverables Build a relationship with the stakeholders of the funds REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experience: • Minimum 8 years' previous industry experience with a solid understanding of accounting for Private Equity Funds. • Minimum 4 years' previous managerial experience. • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of current reporting standards. • Analytical thinking and able to challenge work. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. • Strong proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel, and industry standard accounting software (eFront, InvestTran or equivalent). Education: • A university degree (B.A., B.Sc., M.B.A.) in Business preferably specializing in accountancy or another financial-related discipline • An internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent), is not required but is an advantage
