Responsibilities
The Vice President of Talent Acquisition serves as the strategic leader and operational architect of Powerback’s enterprise hiring and talent attraction engine. Reporting to the SVP of People Strategy, this executive is responsible for designing, executing, and scaling end-to-end recruitment strategies that meet aggressive clinical, operational, and corporate hiring goals. By integrating talent acquisition, university relations, and data-driven workforce planning, the VP of Talent Acquisition ensures Powerback consistently attracts, hires, and retains top-tier talent in an increasingly competitive post-acute care market.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic Leadership & Governance: Provides overall executive accountability for Powerback’s enterprise talent acquisition strategy across Operations, Corporate, and University/Early Career pipelines, aligning hiring targets directly with business growth and EBITDA goals.
Purchased Service & Agency Reduction: Partners closely with Operations and Finance to deploy targeted direct-hire campaigns, systematically reducing reliance on purchased service/agency labor and optimizing total workforce spend.
High-Performing Team Development: Leads, coaches, and elevates a high-performing recruitment team, fostering an agile, accountability-driven culture that meets or exceeds time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and quality-of-hire benchmarks.
Operational Partnership: Establishes deep strategic alignment with SVPs of Operations, RVPs, and field leaders to anticipate regional volume shifts, mitigate key-person dependencies, and proactively solve clinical staffing shortages.
Employer Brand & Sourcing Strategy: Collaborates with Employer Branding and Marketing leads to execute innovative recruitment marketing campaigns, maximizing digital sourcing channels, social engagement, and candidate outreach within budget parameters.
University & Early-Career Pipeline: Partners with University Recruiting and Clinical Education leaders to optimize student fieldwork pipelines, preceptor conversions, and new graduate hiring.
Technology & Recruitment Infrastructure: Drives optimization and governance of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), CRM tools, and recruiting technologies to streamline candidate workflows and eliminate friction for hiring managers.
Data-Driven Analytics: Establishes robust Talent Acquisition metrics and executive dashboards—tracking funnel conversion, offer acceptance rates, and candidate pipeline health—to continuously inform operational adjustments.
Strategic Partner Management: Manages relationships, contracts, and ROI with external vendors, job boards, recruitment technology platforms, and academic institutions.
Qualifications
The VP, Talent Acquisition must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in health care, business management, human resources or equivalent experience.
Previous experience in human resources, staffing, or sales/marketing preferred.
At least 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
Previous experience in the health care industry preferred.
Must have strong communication and customer service skills.
Posted Salary RangeUSD $125,000.00 - USD $175,000.00 /Yr.
