Vice President of MarketingDepartment: Marketing
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Austin
DescriptionThe Vice President of Marketing will play a pivotal role in strengthening Brivo's market narrative, demand-generation engine, and go-to-market strategy during a critical growth phase. Reporting directly to the President, this executive will help further develop marketing into a pipeline-driving, revenue-aligned organization while building a more modern, data- and AI-enabled approach to marketing.
This is both a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for guiding brand positioning, accelerating enterprise demand generation, and strengthening the company's direct connection to end customers while continuing to support its channel ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead Brivo's marketing strategy, narrative, and brand positioning as the organization enters its next phase of growth.
- Lead and develop a high-performing marketing organization aligned with revenue generation, pipeline growth, enterprise customer acquisition, and channel success.
- Bring a clear point of view and visible leadership presence to the function, setting a high bar for pace, quality, accountability, and commercial impact.
- Own and evolve the strategy for demand generation, including SEO, digital marketing, lifecycle campaigns, database-driven targeting, content, and targeted enterprise programs.
- Strengthen the company's direct demand-generation engine while maintaining strong relationships with the partner ecosystem that has been central to the company's success.
- Lead and optimize channel marketing programs that support dealers, partners, integrators, and sell-through across the ecosystem.
- Build a more data-driven marketing organization, using performance analytics, attribution, segmentation, and Salesforce-connected measurement to guide investment and decision-making.
- Introduce and scale practical AI-enabled marketing capabilities across areas such as content development, campaign execution, audience targeting, workflow efficiency, analytics, and performance optimization.
- Guide the team on modern SEO/GEO strategy, including evolving approaches to digital discovery, content, and buyer engagement.
- Drive enterprise marketing strategy, targeting large distributed organizations across priority verticals.
- Strengthen the company's creative output, messaging, campaigns, and market presence, ensuring Brivo stands out in a category where competitors are increasingly creative and visible.
- Partner closely with Sales, Salesforce, IT, BI, and other cross-functional leaders to improve pipeline quality, lead management, attribution, and marketing's measurable contribution to revenue.
- Manage and allocate a marketing budget across programs, events, digital initiatives, and external partners.
- Contribute to senior-level strategic discussions and represent the company credibly with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise- 10-15+ years of progressive marketing experience, including senior leadership responsibility within high-growth B2B technology companies.
- Proven experience leading and developing a marketing team with accountability for demand generation, pipeline contribution, brand, and measurable commercial outcomes.
- First-hand experience running a marketing organization that is grounded in data, systems, measurement, and AI-enabled ways of working-not simply using these tools as an individual contributor.
- Strong background in B2B technology marketing, ideally within:
- Internet of Things (IoT)
- Hardware + SaaS business models
- Enterprise software or infrastructure platforms (Pure SaaS backgrounds will also be considered.)
- Demonstrated ability to drive pipeline growth and measurable revenue impact through integrated marketing programs.
- Strong experience with demand generation, digital marketing, lifecycle programs, database-driven targeting, attribution, and modern SEO/GEO strategy.
- A strong command of marketing analytics, marketing technology, Salesforce-connected workflows, attribution, performance measurement, and data-informed decision-making.
- Practical experience applying AI to improve marketing effectiveness, insight, targeting, workflows, content, or campaign performance.
- Strong creative instinct and judgment. The successful candidate will know how to sharpen a company's story, create market attention, and raise the quality and distinction of campaigns and content.
- Executive presence and strong communication skills. The candidate must command respect with senior leaders, Sales, cross-functional teams, customers, and partners.
- High intellectual horsepower, sound commercial judgment, and the confidence to make clear decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- A hands-on, high-energy leadership style. This is not a role for someone who manages from a distance or maintains the status quo; the person must be willing to lead visibly, challenge conventional thinking, and remain close enough to the work to ensure strong execution.
- Ability to operate strategically while actively guiding key initiatives, team development, operating cadence, and performance improvement.
