We're hiring a Vice President of Growth to lead our pursuit of that kind of work. You'll be responsible for driving strategic expansion in the federal IT services market-setting and hitting aggressive targets, building and mentoring a high-performing growth team, and ensuring that our pipeline reflects both ambition and alignment with customer needs. You'll be in the field, shaping opportunities, developing solutions, and earning the trust that wins long-term partnerships.

This is not a figurehead role. It's a hands-on leadership position for a doer who wants to grow a business by delivering real results for customers-and who understands we're in it for the long haul. This role will entail directly managing a team of 3 full-time growth employees and will report to company ownership. Future growth opportunities include advancement into executive management roles.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Growth Leadership
  • Define and execute a comprehensive growth strategy that supports near-term wins and long-term positioning in the federal IT services market.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align business development initiatives with CTG's mission, capabilities, and emerging market trends.
  • Define, monitor and optimize pipeline health and key growth metrics to inform decision-making and investment.
  • Manage the growth budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize return on investment, support strategic initiatives, and enable scalable, sustainable expansion.
Business Development & Capture Management
  • Lead full-lifecycle federal capture strategy across new business and recompetes.
  • Personally drive high-priority pursuits while mentoring and overseeing a team of BD, capture, and solution architecture professionals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders and teaming partners.
  • Guide capture teams through qualification, solutioning, win theme development, pricing, and post-submission support.
Proposal & Solutioning Oversight
  • Oversee the development of high-quality, compliant, and compelling proposals.
  • Foster a culture of excellence and innovation in proposal development, pricing strategy, and solution design.
  • Coordinate with technical, operational, and subject matter experts to ensure proposal alignment with customer missions.
  • Directly lead/develop/contribute to high-importance proposal responses
Partnership Development & Market Expansion
  • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, including mentor-protégé arrangements, set-aside teaming, and niche capability partners.
  • Expand CTG's footprint into new mission areas, federal agencies, and adjacent verticals.
  • Leverage and grow relationships in core markets such as USCIS, CBP, and other DHS components.
Marketing & Brand Positioning
  • Work with leadership and marketing to elevate CTG's brand visibility and thought leadership.
  • Shape growth-focused content, collateral, and campaigns that resonate with both customers and partners.
Growth Team Leadership & Talent Development
  • Directly manage, mentor, and support members of the growth team, including business development, capture, and proposal personnel.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and development plans for direct reports.
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and results.
  • Identify skill gaps and lead recruitment efforts to build a balanced, scalable growth organization.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in federal contracting, including leadership roles in business development, capture, and/or growth strategy.
  • Demonstrated success driving significant growth within a federal IT professional services business.
  • Proven track record of winning large, complex federal contracts & agreements (e.g., IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, BOAs, Task Orders).
  • Deep understanding of the full federal acquisition lifecycle, including opportunity shaping, solution development, pricing strategy, proposal compliance, and post-award transition.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft high-quality written materials and deliver persuasive presentations to senior stakeholders.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and a demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships across government and industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute actionable growth strategies aligned with evolving market conditions and company capabilities.
  • Established network of relationships across DHS components and/or defense agencies.
  • Data collection & market intelligence tool experience including SAM, FPDS, USAspending, GovWin, HigherGov, and related tools.

  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain federal security clearance
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required
  • Work Location: Remote with frequent in-person collaboration in the Washington D.C. / Silver Spring, MD metro area

Salary Information:

We are committed to offering a competitive salary for this position, with an estimated range of $160K to $180K annually + a performance based bonus. Please note that this range is intended to provide a general idea of what to expect. The final offer may vary based on experience, skills, and other factors.
