Join Our National Team as the Vice President of Franchise Development!

Are you looking to leverage your expertise to grow in a role that offers varied and challenging work? Our company, a leading parent organization that owns and operates 340+ franchise locations across North America, is seeking a new Vice President of Franchise Development


This position is responsible for driving the strategic growth of the franchise system. This position leads the franchise development team and develops and oversees effective marketing and sales strategies. Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective franchisees is essential. The Vice President of Franchise Development identifies new market opportunities, implements targeted marketing and sales initiatives, and ensures the continued success of the franchise development team in both resale and new territory sales. This role has a critical impact on overall company revenue and profitability.

Reports to: SVP Operations
Location: Jacksonville, FL

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop a business plan with measurable objectives to achieve or exceed growth goals by leading the team in marketing, identifying, and closing both new and resale franchise opportunities.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights to identify key growth opportunities. Approve territory maps for franchise locations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and sales strategies to drive franchise expansion through new territory sales and resales, and provide input on the Franchise Disclosure Document.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, coach, and retain best-in-class Directors of Franchise Sales.
  • Provide visionary leadership to the franchise sales team, setting clear goals and objectives to drive performance and results.
  • Lead Developers through the franchise application and due diligence processes, and coordinate the timely movement of documents to the Senior Vice President of US Operations for corporate processing and approvals.
  • Oversee content development and all Meet the Team Day presentation formats
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align franchise development, marketing, and sales efforts with overall business objectives and marketing initiatives.
  • Nurture relationships with existing franchisees and support their resale and expansion plans.
  • Ensure current pipeline activity and results are accurately maintained, reported, and communicated.
  • Manage expenses within budget unless otherwise approved by the supervisor.
  • Establish and uphold organizational standards and applicable legal regulations.
  • Develop and maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
  • Confer with department staff and review activity and operating reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
  • Documented success in franchise sales, with a strong track record of qualifying candidates and closing sales
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and effectively influence others, both internally and externally
  • Strong general business and financial acumen, effective self-management skills, and a demonstrated drive for growth
  • Demonstrated ability to instill urgency and accountability while fostering a creative, initiative-taking culture
  • Strong ethics and integrity in building and maintaining professional relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint), Adobe, and CRM systems
  • Comfortable delivering presentations to large groups
  • Assertive, results-oriented team player with strong business judgment
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including scanners, printers, copiers, phone systems, and computers
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions

Required Education and Experience:
  • College diploma, bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience
  • Proven track record of procuring candidates, supporting franchises, and increasing market share
  • 5+ years of progressive sales, business development, insurance, commercial services, or business management experience
  • Demonstrated people-leadership experience with accountability for team performance, revenue growth, and business results
  • Demonstrated experience managing strategic accounts, complex client relationships, sales pipelines, and growth initiatives

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field
  • Leadership experience within the restoration, insurance, commercial property, facility services, or related industries
  • Experience working in a franchise development role

Travel:
This position may require up to 25% travel for client and vendor visits, industry events, business development activities, trade shows, franchise visits, team meetings, and training.

Work Environment:
This position may be based in the Jacksonville corporate office or remotely from a home office. The employee will be exposed to normal office conditions, including air conditioning and heat. Most work will be conducted through email, video conferencing, and telephone. When working remotely, the employee must have access to a stable internet connection and use the provided VPN technology to connect securely. The successful candidate must be productive with minimal supervision
