Full Job Description
The Philadelphia Housing Development Corporation seeks a highly motivated Vice President of Development Finance. Under the direction of the President & CEO, this position is responsible for supervising staff within two departments-Housing Finance, and Housing Construction-responsible for activities relating to the planning, review, and coordination of the agency's underwriting, evaluation, coordination, and monitoring/compliance of residential and mixed-use projects; and evaluation and administration of loans originated and serviced by the Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority under its various housing finance programs. The VP of Development Finance will manage technical staff and will work closely with other departments including PHDC's Legal Department and Finance Department. The VP of Development Finance may be involved in projects involving a variety of financing sources, including tax credits, federal programs, and bond financing. Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience. Requirements • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; AND • Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience with public or private institutions, in a field related to land development, such as real estate, development finance, city planning, land-use law, or government administration • At least three (3) years of supervisory experience • A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in real estate, city planning, land-use law, government administration, or management with a real estate concentration may be substituted for one year of the required experience • Experience with Low -Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), bond financing, and large-scale real estate transactions
