Full Job Description
About the role

Following our rapid expansion across the U.S., we are looking for a Vice President of Business Development - Mid-Market, Americas to lead and scale our mid-market commercial organization across the country.

This is a leadership role, not a traditional individual quota-carrying position. You will own the performance of Biorce's entire U.S. mid-market business, with responsibility for the team's annual commercial target and the strategy, execution, and operating cadence required to deliver against it.

Reporting into commercial leadership, you will lead our team of mid-market Business Development representatives across America - setting the standard for how we prospect, run discovery, position Aika, navigate complex opportunities, and ultimately close business.

You'll be expected to stay close to the field. That means coaching reps through key opportunities, joining strategic customer conversations when needed, inspecting pipeline and forecast quality, and identifying where deals are getting stuck. Your success will ultimately be measured by the performance of the team you lead.

Who We're Looking For

A proven commercial leader who knows how to build, coach, and hold a high-performing sales organization accountable.

You understand enterprise and mid-market selling within life sciences, clinical technology, or a closely related SaaS environment. You have personally carried a number before, but you're now at the stage where your impact comes from making an entire team better.

You know how to inspect a pipeline, challenge a forecast, coach discovery, improve conversion, and get directly involved when an important deal needs executive support.

Most importantly, you operate like an owner. You don't wait for a playbook - you help build it.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the U.S. mid-market number, with accountability for delivering the team's full fiscal-year commercial target.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Biorce's mid-market Business Development team across America.
  • Establish clear expectations around pipeline generation, discovery, opportunity progression, forecasting, and deal execution.
  • Run weekly and quarterly commercial operating cadences, ensuring complete visibility into performance against target.
  • Maintain rigorous pipeline and forecast discipline across the team.
  • Coach representatives through complex opportunities and actively support strategic deals when executive involvement is required.
  • Develop and execute the U.S. mid-market go-to-market strategy alongside Biorce's commercial leadership.
  • Identify performance gaps across territories, representatives, pipeline, and conversion and take action quickly.
  • Partner with SDR, Marketing, Product, Clinical Solutions, and Customer teams to improve the entire commercial funnel.
  • Ensure territories and account strategies are aligned with the highest-value opportunities across the U.S. market.
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and retain exceptional commercial talent as the organization continues to scale.
  • Build repeatable sales processes and infrastructure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Bring market and customer intelligence back into Biorce to influence commercial and product strategy.
  • Represent Biorce with senior pharmaceutical and biotech executives at strategic meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Requirements

Must-haves

  • 15+ years of experience in business development, enterprise sales, or commercial leadership within life sciences, clinical technology, SaaS, or a closely related sector.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and developing quota-carrying sales teams.
  • Proven ownership of a significant team or regional revenue target.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical and biotech customers and complex B2B sales cycles.
  • Track record of consistently delivering against ambitious commercial targets.
  • Experience coaching teams across discovery, pipeline generation, negotiation, forecasting, and closing.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage credibly with C-suite customers and internal leadership.
  • Highly analytical approach to pipeline management, forecasting, territory performance, and commercial KPIs.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth environment where processes and organizational structures are still being built.
  • Willingness to travel across the U.S. and internationally when required.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience selling clinical trial technology, eClinical platforms, data, AI, or technology into pharmaceutical R&D organizations.
  • Existing relationships across U.S. pharmaceutical and biotech organizations.
  • Experience building or scaling a commercial organization during a high-growth stage.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven platforms within clinical development or drug development.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to lead Biorce's U.S. mid-market commercial organization during a major stage of company growth.
  • Direct influence over how we build and scale our American go-to-market organization.
  • Significant exposure to Biorce's executive and commercial leadership.
  • The ability to build, coach, and shape a team rather than simply inherit an established sales machine.
  • Compensation: $230,000 - $300,000, plus performance-based commission and variable compensation.

Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and location and will be communicated in accordance with applicable pay transparency requirements.

Why join us

  • A dynamic work environment with an international team, where collaboration and diversity thrive.
  • Work alongside top talent united by a shared purpose and committed to making a real impact.
  • Comprehensive private health coverage to support your physical and mental well-being.
  • Hybrid work model offering flexibility to balance your professional and personal life.
  • Company events to celebrate achievements and spend time together.
  • MacBook provided to enhance your productivity and work experience.
  • Our offices are pet-friendly - you'll likely be greeted by a few wagging tails upon arrival.
