SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Vice President of Medical Group Administration provides strategic and operational leadership across physician and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) practice operations while driving success in Penn State Health's value-based care (VBC) initiatives.

This executive leader plays a critical role in strengthening our unified medical group, optimizing ambulatory performance, improving patient access, and advancing population health outcomes across government and commercial value-based contracts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field
  • 10 years of healthcare operations experience, ideally within an integrated delivery system
  • 7 years of formal leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of ambulatory care operations, provider compensation models, and revenue cycle workflows
  • Extensive background in payor contracting and program alignment between health systems and payors
  • Expertise in EMR systems (Epic strongly preferred) and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and relationship-building skills across multidisciplinary teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Master's degree
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a matrixed health system environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to influence change and drive results through collaboration and data-driven insights
