Vice President, Mechanical Engineering
Job Summary: We are seeking a Vice President, Mechanical Engineering to join our
growing team. As Vice President, Mechanical Engineering, you will be a senior leader within
our Mission Critical practice, responsible for leading the technical and operational delivery
of mechanical engineering projects for hyperscale, colocation, and AI-powered data
centers. You will oversee multidisciplinary engineering teams, mentor technical leaders,
foster strong client relationships, and ensure the successful execution of complex projects
from concept through construction. This role combines technical excellence, operational
leadership, and business development, helping drive the continued growth and success of
our Mission Critical practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Represent the firm at industry conferences, client briefings, and stakeholder
meetings as a thought leader in data center mechanical design.
• Lead the delivery of large-scale data center mechanical engineering projects from
concept through construction.
• Oversee the design and performance of complex mechanical systems, including
HVAC, air handling, chilled water systems, cooling towers, boilers, and building
automation and controls.
• Ensure projects are delivered with the highest standards of quality, energy
eAiciency, reliability, sustainability, and compliance with applicable codes and
client requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop multidisciplinary engineering teams while supporting
resource planning, technical excellence, and project delivery.
• Coordinate with architects, electrical engineers, structural engineers, contractors,
and other stakeholders to deliver fully integrated designs using BIM and advanced
modeling tools.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted
technical advisor throughout project delivery.
• Support business development eAorts through client presentations, proposal
development, interviews, and strategic pursuit activities.
• Drive continuous improvement of engineering standards, QA/QC processes, design
methodologies, and best practices across the mechanical engineering team.
• Support strategic planning and operational initiatives that contribute to the
continued growth of the Mission Critical practice.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); multi-state licensure is a plus.
• LEED BD+C accreditation preferred.
• 15+ years of mechanical engineering experience with extensive experience in
mission critical or data center projects.
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering large,
complex mechanical engineering projects.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, chilled water systems, central utility plants, building
automation, and CFD/energy modeling tools.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Trane Trace, Carrier HAP, and other
industry-standard software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and client relationship
management skills.
• Demonstrated experience supporting business development, proposals, and client
pursuits within the mission critical sector.
• Willingness to travel regularly to client and project sites.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.
