JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President, Marine & Technical Procurement is responsible for establishing and executing the global procurement strategy for all Marine and Technical categories across Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH). This executive leadership role drives enterprise-wide sourcing, supplier relationship management, category strategy, operational excellence, risk mitigation, and value creation initiatives supporting the company's fleet operations and long-term growth objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive enterprise-wide strategy for direct procurement categories, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals, operational excellence, and long-term growth.
  • Lead & mentor a team of category directors and managers, providing strategic guidance, coaching, and performance management.
  • Partner with Marine and Technical leadership teams to anticipate operational demand, align sourcing strategies with guest experience standards, and manage category innovation.
  • Negotiate large-scale contracts and partnerships to ensure favorable terms and sustainable supplier relationships.
  • Establish and manage global supplier relationship programs, driving continuous improvement, innovation, and resilience in the supplier base.
  • Implement processes and tools that improve transparency, compliance, and efficiency in supplier management.
  • Ensure risk management practices are in place, including regulatory compliance and business continuity considerations.
  • Ensure robust governance, compliance, and risk management protocols are embedded into all sourcing activities, protecting the organization from financial, legal, and reputational risk.
  • Drive supplier diversity, sustainability, and ethical sourcing initiatives in alignment with NCLH values.
  • Report progress, performance metrics, and savings achievements to executive leadership.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree

FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related field required

EXPERIENCE

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in procurement/supply chain management with significant exposure to marine and technical categories.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale sourcing initiatives and managing multi-million-dollar spend portfolios.
  • Demonstrated success in executive-level negotiations, supplier relationship management, and delivering measurable value.

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

  • Deep knowledge of procurement systems, analytics, and digital sourcing tools.
  • Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience in cost optimization.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at the C-suite.
