About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Vice President within the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division, leading the coordination of workflows across CIB’s strategic capital committees in support of Capital Management, Leveraged Finance, Leveraged Underwriting, Financial Sponsors, and Independent Risk Management (IRM). This is a high-visibility role, sitting at the center of deal flow for some of CIB’s most significant transactions. The Vice President will own and oversee the coordination of multiple capital and credit committees – including the Capital Commitment & Distribution Committee (CCDC), Direct Lending, Sponsors, and Pre-IPO Committees – while serving as a strategic partner to senior CIB leadership across reporting, analytics, and lending initiatives. The ideal candidate combines strong governance and organizational discipline with sound judgment and a solid understanding of leveraged finance credit.

In this role, you will:

  • Govern and enforce material distribution timelines and meeting / attendee discipline across committee
  • Oversee preparation and distribution of post-meeting summaries and the end-to-end tracking of approvals, conditions, and open action items, proactively escalating delays or emerging risks to senior leadership
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and distribution of several weekly and bi-weekly reports actively used by senior CIB leadership to stay informed with the most up-to-date transaction details and statuses for some of CIB’s most significant deals
  • Maintain and quality-control detailed call reports for all transactions in the pipeline, capturing comprehensive information on pricing, fees, financing milestones, financing structures, and key transaction metrics to promote robust pipeline visibility for senior management
  • Meet weekly with senior leaders across Capital & Portfolio Management, Leveraged Finance, and IRM to discuss in detail the most recent status of the bank’s largest transactions from inception through closing, synthesizing key themes and decisions for leadership
  • Leverage analytics to identify emerging trends in the portfolio and translate them into actionable insights, helping ensure deal teams’ business development efforts align with CIB’s goals and priorities for the franchise while maintaining strong institutional capital, risk, and return discipline
  • Assist with the development of policies, procedures and presentations
  • Provide guidance to junior coordinator

Required qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Experience in CIB Portfolio Management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of Experience with Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Leveraged Finance, Reporting, Governance or Credit Risk

Desired qualifications:

  • Knowledge and understanding of leveraged finance, leveraged underwriting, and credit risk, including underwritten financing structures and distribution risk
  • Demonstrated ability to manage governance / committee processes and steward cross-functional stakeholders end-to-end
  • Proven ability to partner with, present to, and influence senior leadership
  • Experience designing and producing executive-level reporting and portfolio / pipeline analytics
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of initiative and accountability, with strong written and verbal communication skills
