Role PurposeThe Vice President, Information Technology and AI is responsible for developing, directing, and strategically leading the information technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, cybersecurity, and systems integration initiatives across multiple companies and manufacturing sites within The Partner Companies. This role ensures stability, security, scalability, and alignment of all technology platforms while driving operational efficiency, business continuity, and digital transformation initiatives across the organization.
The Vice President, Information Technology and AI serves as the organization's senior technology leader, providing enterprise-wide governance and leadership oversight for IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, ERP systems, business applications, systems integration, and data management. This role is responsible for aligning IT strategy with business objectives and ensuring cohesive, standardized technology operations across all locations and business units.
Scope & ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities- Direct and oversee enterprise-wide IT operations across multiple companies and manufacturing sites
- Develop and execute long-term IT and systems strategies aligned with company operational and growth objectives
- Lead enterprise systems integration initiatives to ensure cohesive and standardized systems and processes across all business units and locations
- Oversee the management, maintenance, and optimization of ERP systems, business applications, network infrastructure, and cloud-based platforms
- Develop and implement AI strategies aligned with organizational goals, operational efficiency, and long-term technology roadmaps
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies and provide recommendations to improve operational performance, scalability, and innovation
- Ensure cybersecurity compliance and protection of company systems, networks, intellectual property, and sensitive business data, including AI governance frameworks to ensure ethical AI usage, data privacy, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation
- Develop and enforce IT security policies, disaster recovery plans, backup strategies, and business continuity procedures
- Establish company-wide IT, and AI governance standards, system architecture standards, and technology roadmaps
- Partner with executive leadership to identify technology opportunities that improve operational efficiency, reporting, automation, and scalability
- Lead digital transformation and process improvement initiatives across the organization
- Lead the deployment and integration of AI solutions, including generative AI and predictive analytics tools, into enterprise systems and workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for AI-driven process improvements and automation
- Manage IT infrastructure including servers, networking, telecommunications, endpoint devices, and remote access systems
- Ensure system reliability, uptime, and performance through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and vendor management
- Develop and manage IT budgets, capital expenditure plans, licensing, and technology investments
- Lead ERP implementation, upgrades, migrations, and integration projects across multiple entities and facilities
- Drive data integrity, reporting consistency, and business intelligence initiatives across the organization
- Oversee cybersecurity risk assessments, penetration testing, incident response planning, and vulnerability management
- Ensure compliance with applicable IT regulations, cybersecurity standards, NIST, ITAR, CMMC, and customer requirements
- Manage relationships with external IT vendors, software providers, cybersecurity consultants, and managed service providers
- Drive organizational adoption of AI technologies through employee training, change management initiatives, and development of AI usage policies
- Provide leadership, coaching, and development for IT personnel and cross-functional project teams
- Establish IT performance metrics, KPIs, and accountability measures
- Support mergers, acquisitions, facility expansions, and new site integrations from an IT and systems perspective
- Stay current with emerging technologies, cybersecurity threats, and industry best practices
Work Experience & SkillsEducationBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
Experience- 10-15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience in a multi-site operational environment
- Experience supporting multiple companies, divisions, or locations strongly preferred
- Proven track record managing enterprise IT infrastructure and business systems
- Required experience supporting ITAR-regulated environments and compliance within the defense industry.
- Strong knowledge of NIST cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including implementation and audit readiness.
- Familiarity with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) requirements and compliance processes preferred.
- Proficiency with AI platforms and cloud technologies
- Experience implementing AI-driven automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and business intelligence capabilities preferred
- Experience with ERP systems
- Minimum of 5+ years in a senior leadership or director-level IT role preferred
- Experience managing cybersecurity programs and enterprise risk mitigation strategies
- Demonstrated success leading digital transformation and operational improvement initiatives
- Experience managing cross-functional teams, budgets, and enterprise technology projects
- Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and multi-site systems standardization initiatives preferred

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements- Work environment includes a combination of office, manufacturing floor, and remote support settings across multiple locations
- Regular travel to manufacturing and operational sites required
- Ability to support emergency system outages or cybersecurity incidents outside normal business hours as needed
- Ability to work in manufacturing and industrial environments while following required safety protocols
- Travel may include domestic and occasional international locations, depending on business operations
