JOB DESCRIPTION

Shape how we plan, forecast, and make financial decisions across our Home Lending business. In this role on the Home Lending Planning & Analysis team, you will lead the development of quantitative modeling and forecasting capabilities that inform budgeting, outlook, earnings, and stress testing. You will work at the intersection of Finance, Risk, Technology, and model governance to keep models accurate, transparent, and well-controlled. Job summary

As a Quantitative Modeling and Forecasting Lead in Home Lending Finance, you will own a portfolio of quantitative forecasting models that support planning, budgeting, earnings, and strategic decision-making. You will help us strengthen model performance through ongoing monitoring and enhancements. You will partner closely with Finance, Risk, Technology, and Model Risk Governance and Review to ensure our models are well-governed, validated, and ready for scrutiny from regulators and auditors. You will represent Finance in governance discussions and help us deliver reliable insights that support better decisions for our customers and our firm.

Job responsibilities
  • Own ongoing maintenance, monitoring, enhancement, and documentation of the quantitative model portfolio supporting forecast, budget, outlook, earnings, stress testing, and strategic planning
  • Evaluate model performance, identify recalibration opportunities, and implement enhancements to improve accuracy, transparency, and business relevance
  • Lead annual and periodic model reviews to keep assumptions, methodologies, and documentation current and compliant with governance requirements
  • Partner with Model Risk Governance and Review, Risk, Finance, and Technology to coordinate model changes, validation activities, governance reviews, and approvals
  • Prepare model enhancement proposals, validation materials, and supporting analysis for governance review and sign-off
  • Ensure model modifications, methodology updates, and data source changes are documented, controlled, tested, and approved prior to production release
  • Represent Finance in model governance discussions, regulatory reviews, audit requests, and control-related inquiries for home lending quantitative models
  • Leads a team of 3
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline
  • 7 plus years of  professional experience and 5 plus years of experience with forecasting models, business planning models, stress testing frameworks, or predictive analytics solutions
  • Experience managing model governance frameworks and validation processes, including engagement with model governance teams
  • Knowledge of model lifecycle management practices, documentation standards, controls, and validation requirements
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience communicating analysis and model outcomes clearly in writing and verbally, including presenting to senior leaders
  • Demonstrated leadership experience influencing stakeholders across multiple functions and levels
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline
  • Experience with FRAME for quantitative modeling and analysis
