Job Title: Vice President, Fund Accounting & Transfer Agency Oversight

Location: New York, NY

Responsibilities

Cantor Fitzgerald Asset Management is seeking a Vice President, Fund Accounting & Transfer Agency Oversight to support its growing Commodities business. This role will be responsible for overseeing fund accounting operations, NAV governance, and transfer agency oversight across a range of investment products. The position will serve as a key liaison with third-party administrators, custodians, transfer agents, auditors, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate fund reporting, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee daily, monthly, and annual fund accounting activities performed by third-party administrators.
  • Review and validate NAV calculations, portfolio valuations, expense accruals, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor service provider performance and ensure adherence to established service level agreements.
  • Coordinate audits, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support the launch of new funds and investment products.
  • Oversee transfer agency operations, including shareholder servicing, subscriptions, redemptions, distributions, and account maintenance activities.
  • Monitor transfer agent controls, performance metrics, and compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Review operational risk issues, escalations, and remediation efforts.
  • Partner with Compliance, Legal, Operations, Product, and Finance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with Investment Company Act of 1940 ("'40 Act") requirements and other applicable regulations.
  • Support board reporting, trustee materials, and fund governance processes.
  • Maintain oversight frameworks, policies, and procedures related to fund operations.
  • Participate in due diligence reviews of third-party service providers.
  • Support commodities-related investment products and operational processes.
  • Lead projects focused on process improvements, controls, and operational scalability.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration oversight, asset management operations, or a related function.
  • Strong knowledge of Investment Company Act of 1940 ('40 Act) fund structures and NAV oversight.
  • Experience overseeing third-party fund administrators and transfer agents.
  • Strong understanding of fund operations, controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting commodities, futures, or CPO investment products preferred.
  • Exposure to UCITS fund structures and international fund operations preferred.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Experience working with auditors, regulators, fund boards, and external service providers preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $155,000 - $195,000

The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
