Position Summary

The Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for the annual financial planning process of PSN. Oversees the development, preparation, and monitoring of capital and operating budgets, supports the development of tactical plans and their implementation, the presentation and interpretation of financial information to senior leadership, physicians, front line managers. Maintain systems to support operating budget, capital budget, and management reporting processes. Develop pro formas and other ad hoc analyses for non-Clinical Services businesses. Provides interim leadership support as needed for managed surgical hospitals and ASCs.

Position Responsibilities
  • Provide financial leadership to executives on their key initiatives and investments, including building and socializing financial models on such initiatives.
  • Support executive leadership in budgeting, forecasting and month-end analysis for their departments.
  • Perform headcount analysis, contingent modeling, utilization dash-boarding and other profitability assessments, as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of compliance with financial controls and accounting principles.
  • Drive process improvements and grow FP&A capabilities, including improvements to key financial information systems and tools.
  • Leads the annual operating budget process for the organization. Responsible for a thorough review of current process and is expected to make recommendations for overall improvement and shortening of timeline.
  • Consistently analyzes financial data and presents financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; identifies, explains, and works with the appropriate parties to correct variances as appropriate.
  • Assists in the development of monthly financial forecast and annual development of five year financial and capital planning processes. Reviews all financial plans and compares to actual results to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
  • Provides financial analytical support to strategic planning efforts, including pro forma analyses, joint venture development, and program and service expansion activities.
  • Coordinates the preparation of various financial and operational management reports and analyses for use by senior and middle management on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
  • May have direct and indirect supervision of finance support staff.
  • All other duties as assigned.
