Full Job Description
As a Vice President of the Energy team, a typical day might include: - Developing and implementing a marketing strategy to grow the commercial insurance book of business, developing new business opportunities - Managing an insurance book of business, ensuring clients have the necessary coverage in place, quoting and binding coverage, and cross and up-selling additional coverage where possible - Selling brokerage services to reach mutually agreed target revenue and activity quotas - Conducting regular review meetings with existing clients to service and identify opportunities for new prospecting activities - Maintaining a highly technical and service-oriented relationship with clients - Developing and maintaining relationships with Insurers to ensure clients receive favourable pricing and claims handling and to potentially develop new products - Keeping abreast of changes within the industry, attending seminars, reviewing industry publications, and liaising with others (underwriters, adjusters, etc.) within the industry - Attending client, insurer, and industry functions to build networks and identify new business streams - Referring business opportunities outside specialty area to other Vice Presidents - Coaching and mentoring support staff, on an on-going basis - Preparing and presenting annual business plans with projected sales goals, strategies, obstacles, and areas for growth You are passionate about: - Providing friendly, professional service - Making a positive difference to those around you - Sharing ideas and working with a great team of proactive, innovative thinkers - Learning, growing, and pushing past barriers - Living with integrity - Taking ownership of your work and actions You're outstanding at: - Building relationships - with clients, with underwriters, with colleagues ...
