Job DescriptionAs a Vice President focused on Capital Structure and Financing Advisory within the Corporate Finance Advisory team, you will advise Lazard's corporate and sponsor clients in capital structure and capital allocation optimization, along with capital raising efforts, across a broad range of topics, including M&A, corporate separations and optimizations, refinancing, and other advisory projects and assignments that intersect with the capital markets. The team's objective is to create market-agnostic solutions for our clients: one team working with our clients to optimize for their situation and, when appropriate, executing on the company's behalf. We work across the full spectrum of corporate capital structures, in all products, from investment grade debt to stressed company deals, from straight debt to preferred equity, in both public and private markets. Vice Presidents receive exposure to all aspects of a financing transaction, from origination to negotiation to execution, and cultivate corporate and investor relationships.
We'll trust you to:- Advise public and private companies on optimization of capital structure, capital allocation decisions and activities, interaction with the capital markets (public and private) and overall financing and capital structure evaluation activities
- Stay abreast of recent market trends and deal structures in the leveraged finance, investment grade debt and equity markets, both public and private
- Develop relationships with key corporate and sponsor advisory clients
- Negotiate documentation and deal terms with investors
- Interact with senior management and clients
- Mentor junior bankers and help guide career development
You'll need to have:- At least 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably on either a debt capital markets, leveraged finance or hybrid equity capital markets desk of a bulge bracket bank, a hedge fund or other asset manager
- Knowledge of private capital investors, market structure, new issue products, corporate finance and the trends in the market
- Comfort in pitching ideas and deals with buyside accounts
- Strong quantitative, analytical and communications skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Factset, and AI tools

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $250,000 - $275,000 USD. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant's years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and relevant skills for the role. Base salary is one component of Lazard Financial Advisory's compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
