Well is seeking a strategic, market-facing VP, Commercial Outcomes & Value Strategy to serve as the commercial architect of our market-facing outcomes story. Reporting to the SVP of Growth Initiatives, you will collaborate horizontally across Growth, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Product, Client Success, and Cost Management. This is a high-visibility leadership position responsible for transforming our rich ecosystem of engagement, behavioral, and healthcare data into competitive differentiation, premium market positioning, and commercial conviction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Insight & Strategic Narrative Development
- Partner closely with Business Intelligence (BI) to identify, prioritize, and investigate commercially relevant questions emerging from Well's data ecosystem.
- Lead hypothesis development, exploratory analysis, and insight generation while directing analytical resources for commercial audiences.
- Maintain sufficient hands-on engagement with our data environment to deeply understand its structure, quality, and emerging commercial opportunities.
- Translate data findings into differentiated headlines in partnership with marketing and GTM including POVs, benchmarks, and thought leadership regarding engagement durability, behavior change, healthcare utilization, and chronic condition management.
2. Commercial Strategy Enablement & Pursuit Execution- Serve as the outcomes strategy partner across the commercial lifecycle, collaborating with Growth, Marketing, and Solutions teams to support pursuit-specific "theories of the case."
- Align outcomes evidence and proof points directly to buyer priorities, workforce demographics, and industry dynamics.
- Shape customized narratives tailored to CHRO, CFO, finance stakeholders, procurement teams, consultants, and actuarial reviewers.
- Participate directly in capabilities meetings, innovation workshops, finalist presentations, and high-stakes procurement discussions to confidently defend Well's premium positioning and ROI methodology against incumbent legacy solutions.
3. Outcomes Commercialization Infrastructure- Build and maintain a scalable commercial evidence engine, including a centralized outcomes and proof-point library, reusable business cases, and market-ready evidence packages.
4. Third-Party Validation & Research Leadership- Lead commercially oriented research initiatives designed to strengthen external credibility and category leadership.
- Oversee third-party outcomes validation efforts, matched-control and actuarial validation partnerships, employer-sponsored research collaborations, and strategic publications.
Requirements- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of employer-sponsored healthcare, population health, benefits strategy, healthcare economics, and ROI methodologies.
- Analytical Fluency: Strong familiarity working directly with healthcare data, claims data, engagement data, or large-scale analytical environments, including the technical fluency to independently interrogate datasets, evaluate methodologies, and utilize tools like SQL or healthcare data warehouses.
- Commercial Instincts & Presence: Exceptional executive presence with a proven track record of influencing sophisticated enterprise buyers, consultants, finance leaders, and actuaries.
- Storytelling & Communication: Demonstrated ability to translate complex, highly technical clinical and financial findings into simple, persuasive executive narratives.
- Agility & Collaboration: Comfort operating in a highly cross-functional, fast-moving, growth-stage environment spanning analytics, marketing, and enterprise sales. Experience in consulting, value strategy, health economics, or market-facing healthcare strategy is highly preferred.
