Job Summary

This leader plans, develops and directs the activities of the system's oncology services. In this role, the leader sets the tone and models positive leadership behavior, while ensuring department and division projects and responsibilities are completed successfully in support of organizational goals. Reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) or designated executive.

Required Qualifications

- Require a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in health service administration, business administration or a related field. A Master's/advanced degree is preferred.

- Require a minimum of five (5) years of progressive leadership/administrative experience in oncology services.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer demonstrated ability in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

- Prefer demonstrated ability to analyze problems and consistently follow through to solution.

- Prefer demonstrated ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem solving expertise.

- Prefer demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills at all levels.

- Prefer knowledge of current reimbursement and clinical issues confronting cancer services.

- Prefer demonstrated leadership skills and understanding of group processes, teamwork, and cost center based management.
