JOB DESCRIPTION

Chase Auto is seeking a talented Vice President to serve as the Brand Manager for Rivian Financial Services, Chase Auto’s private label captive finance partnership with Rivian. 

As a Vice President, Brand Manager in Chase Auto supporting the Rivian partnership, you will be responsible for managing and growing the Rivian Financial Services relationship, leading the direct-to-consumer financing experience, and driving strategies that support Rivian’s growth objectives and the long-term performance of the captive finance portfolio. 

This role will deliver day to day management of the business and will expand the Rivian direct to consumer financing model, developing strategies and capabilities to support Rivian’s business goals and objectives. This role will have responsibility for the Rivian Financial Services P&L and will support the development of a growing team to support the strategy and execution of programming and initiatives. 

This position will play a critical role in developing and executing strategies that enhance the customer financing journey, improve product performance, support EV-specific needs, and ensure the Rivian Financial Services portfolio performs within established risk appetite and business expectations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a relationship manager for Rivian Financial Services, developing a deep understanding of Rivian’s programs, pricing, incentives, product strategy, and business objectives. 
  • Work with the Brand Director to manage the P&L and portfolio performance for the EV captive finance program, ensuring the business performs within established financial, operational, and risk parameters. 
  • Lead the financing experience across Chase and Rivian platforms, identifying opportunities to improve the customer journey, enhance capabilities, and deliver a high level of client and customer service. 
  • Identify opportunities to bring together the broader assets of JPMorgan Chase to develop and execute strategies that support Rivian’s growth objectives and strengthen the captive finance partnership. 
  • Manage the end-to-end development and implementation of new capabilities, including business design, project planning, product requirements, user acceptance testing, operational impact analysis, and final deployment. 
  • Own and manage the product and technology roadmap, prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, customer experience, operational readiness, and portfolio performance. 
  • Partner with Rivian and internal teams to evaluate product features, pricing, subvention, and competitive positioning; recommend program enhancements to remain competitive in the marketplace. 
  • Monitor EV industry trends, competitive developments, digital retailing strategies, and potential partnership opportunities; apply insights to improve strategy and execution. and collaborate with the Brand Director and Auto support teams to develop scalable, consistent, and sustainable processes that support the unique needs of EV manufacturers. 
  • Lead governance and approval processes for new strategies, capabilities, and initiatives, coordinating across Product, Risk, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Controls, Compliance, and other key partners and leverage reporting, analytics, and business insights to identify opportunities, address performance gaps, and drive product and portfolio performance.
  • Develop and deliver senior-level materials for Executive Committee meetings, Business Unit Reviews, strategic updates, and ad hoc communications. 
  • Support the overall control agenda for the business, including tracking deliverables, ensuring program accuracy, and executing required compliance, risk, and governance activities. 

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in automotive finance, captive finance, financial services, consumer lending, product strategy, or strategic partnerships.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and strategic problem-solving skills, with experience managing portfolio performance, business cases, or P&L outcomes.
  • Ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across large matrixed organizations.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with internal and external senior stakeholders.
  • Experience developing product requirements, managing technology roadmaps, supporting user acceptance testing, and leading implementation efforts.
  • Knowledge of credit, risk, compliance, controls, operational processes, and governance frameworks.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex topics into clear, concise, senior-level materials.
  • Ability to leverage data, market insights, and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities and make informed business decisions.
  • High degree of ownership, urgency, intellectual curiosity, and comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
  • Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  • Experience working with OEMs, private label captive finance companies, co-brand partnerships, or direct-to-consumer digital platforms preferred.
