Role:

Vice President of Regulatory Reporting Capital Markets Broker-Dealer

Broker-dealer is full service Broker-Dealer $10-$20B balance sheet, principal engaged in market making in fixed income securities

This employee will be key member of 3 person regulatory team for Capital Markets Broker-dealer in New York, NY.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Regulatory Reporting Responsibilities
  • Preparation of daily net capital calculation and Weekly 15c3-3 customer reserve
  • Key preparer of Monthly Focus report (15c3-1 capital calculation and 15c3-3 customer reserve calculation)
  • Preparation of Monthly Focus review package
  • Analytic review monthly changes in Capital
  • Analysis of Securities Haircut charges month over month
  • Reconciliation of key regulatory data calculation inputs to source system/GL
  • Prepare filing documents for signatures and submission to regulator


Other Finance and Monthly Close Responsibilities
  • Supports monthly financial close processes, records general ledger entries where required for subledger / cash reconciliation breaks
  • Analyze selected balance sheet and income statement accounts: fails, receivables, underwriting fees
  • Assist in preparation of financial statements, and quarterly reporting reporting
  • Provide support to SOX and audit teams, and regulators as needed
  • Proactive participant in leading technology changes to streamline and improve end-to-end accounting and reporting processes

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $68,000 and $159,500 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
