Position Summary

The VetOne Brand Advancement Specialist (BAS) plays a key role in supporting the growth and advancement of the VetOne private label business. This position requires a highly collaborative, adaptable professional who can work across multiple functions to drive brand awareness, sales growth, and strategic account engagement. The BAS is responsible for developing training materials, delivering presentations, supporting internal and external meetings, coordinating trade show activities, and contributing to key business communications and initiatives. Success in this role requires a willingness to evolve alongside a rapidly growing private label business and to elevate opportunities within Strategic Accounts and GPO channels.

Key Responsibilities

Identifies, qualifies, and pursues new business opportunities to grow revenue across assigned accounts, territories, or target segments.

Develops account and business plans that prioritize customer retention, portfolio expansion, and profitable revenue growth.

Prepares proposals, quotations, and solution recommendations in coordination with internal stakeholders, and negotiates commercial terms within approved guidelines.

Maintains ongoing communication with existing and prospective customers to understand business needs, strengthen relationships, and progress opportunities through the pipeline.

Implements targeted sales and marketing initiatives to increase market penetration and expand demand for relevant service offerings.

Investigates and resolves customer issues by coordinating with operations and support teams to protect service quality and account stability.

Provides guidance and support to junior team members.

  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to adapt and evolve with a rapidly growing private label business.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, VetOne Customer Service, Meetings Management, Strategic Account Managers (SAMs), and Sales teams to support growth initiatives.
  • Help elevate and drive business opportunities through Strategic Accounts and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs).
  • Create and present an updated VetOne PowerPoint deck to CERs at the beginning of each new quarter through pre-scheduled 30-minute CER meetings. Meeting schedules will be coordinated in advance by CER management.
  • Develop and present MWI New Hire Training sessions every 3-6 months, based on onboarding schedules. This includes:
    • Delivering VetOne's one-hour morning training session
    • Coordinating and preparing afternoon teachback topics and materials
    • Sharing training plans and resources with the new hire team in advance
  • Coordinate BDS campaign schedules and trainings in partnership with VetOne leadership and the BDS Director. Responsibilities may include:
    • Conducting Teams training sessions on new products, competitive landscape, and campaign goals
    • Generating target customer lists for the BDS Director based on leadership input
  • Support major industry trade shows, including VMX (Orlando/January) and WVC (Las Vegas/March), by:
    • Determining featured products for display
    • Confirming booth/display space
    • Coordinating product shipment, setup, return, or transfer to the next event
    • Partnering with Meetings Management on logistics
    • Joining leadership in vendor partner meetings, as appropriate
  • Support MWI internal meetings in a variety of capacities, including display table setup, product procurement, and participation in vendor meetings alongside VetOne leadership. Typically supports 2-4 events per year.
  • Procure display products and samples for smaller industry events, such as:
    • State VMA meetings
    • GPO/Corporate member meetings
    • AAEP
    • Regional meetings
      This work is completed in partnership with requesting TMs, RSDs, and SAMs and may expand to include greater coordination with VetOne Customer Service and the Marketing Specialist in the future.
  • Support management of the VetOne New Practice Program, with responsibilities evolving as business needs change.
  • Write or co-write the monthly Planning Bulletin, including:
    • Updating content throughout the month
    • Drafting for leadership review and approval
    • Capturing supplier price increases/decreases communicated to MWI
    • Incorporating product supply updates from Purchasing
      This responsibility may be shared with the Marketing Specialist in the future.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Animal Health, or a related field preferred
  • Relevant experience in brand marketing, sales support, training, event coordination, or product/brand management
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with confidence presenting to both internal teams and stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and build strong working relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Willingness to travel for trade shows, meetings, and business events as needed

Work Environment

This role operates in a professional office environment with periodic travel required for trade shows, internal meetings, and customer or vendor events.

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

4+ years of experience in sales, account management, business development, or a related field required.

Certifications in sales, business development, or account management preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing to prepare proposals reports and customer presentations.
Ability to develop and maintain productive cooperative and interdependent working and business relationships.
Ability to deliver effective presentations.

$73,600 - 147,290

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
