BluePearl Pet Hospital in Levittown, PA is looking for a Specialty Veterinary Technician Manager with passion and the ability to help motivate, engage, and train a team of veterinary professionals. Pay: $35.00 - $55.00 / hour
This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience.Sign-on bonus of up to $5,000, based on experience and applicable licensure. Eligible credentials include LVT, CVT, RVT, LVMT, or VTS. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends.
*Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum.
For example:
- Mon - Fri: 6pm to 8am = $3.50 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = $5.00 Shift Differential
- Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = $3.50 Shift Differential

As a Specialty Veterinary Technician Manager, you will... - Demonstrate highly advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within their appropriate department and maintains all related skills and knowledge.
- Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, effectively communicated, and delivered upon.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
- Serve as a mentor to staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
- Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution in order to create effective working relationships.
- Coach staff to create a culture of strong performance and high productivity.
- Clearly communicate with team members to ensure consistent understanding of new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and impending changes.
- Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate an environment of teamwork.
- Implement process improvement initiatives.
- Work with the Technician Training Manager to schedule ongoing training.
- Document performance-related issues, assesses team members during annual review, and provides hospital leadership with recommendations related to performance management and discipline.
