OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS Pay: $200,000-$250,000 base salary
Schedule: Monday-Friday, primarily onsite; limited work-from-home flexibility for larger project work

Clinical Coverage: ER/Urgent Care coverage as needed; clinical coverage is part of base compensation

This is a regional veterinary leadership opportunity for a DVM/VMD who wants to build trust, develop doctors, shape culture, and stay connected to medicine. The region includes Mass/RI Veterinary ER, Coastal Veterinary Care, and Wickford Veterinary Clinic - three hospitals with different strengths and significant room to grow.
As our Group President, you'll lead people, hospital performance, doctor recruiting and retention, mentorship, and regional growth. You'll help guide expansion and hospital improvements, support the goal of returning Mass/RI ER to 24/7 doctor coverage, and step into ER/Urgent Care clinical coverage when the team needs you.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE | NON-NEGOTIABLE - DVM or VMD required - this position is for a veterinarian only.
- Emergency and/or Urgent Care clinical experience is required.
- A people-first, relationship-driven leadership approach with the ability to build trust, mentor doctors, and lead change over time.
- Willingness to work primarily on-site Monday-Friday and remain clinically connected, including coverage when needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS | NOT A DEAL BREAKER - Approximately 3-5 years of veterinary leadership experience; multi-hospital or regional leadership is ideal, but a strong Medical Director ready for the next step may be considered.
- Additional GP and/or Specialty experience.
- Experience with hospital financial performance, doctor staffing, recruiting, retention, productivity, and growth.
- Experience with acquisitions, de novos, integrations, openings, or hospital growth; these areas can be developed with COVE subject-matter support.
