Job Summary:

The Veritas eDiscovery Administrator is responsible for administering, supporting, and optimizing the enterprise eDiscovery platform to facilitate legal discovery, compliance investigations, records management, and litigation support activities. The role involves managing data preservation, legal holds, collection, processing, review workflows, and production of electronically stored information (ESI).

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Veritas eDiscovery Platform (Clearwell), information governance, compliance frameworks, and cross-functional collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Security, and IT teams.

Job Duties:

* Administer, configure, and maintain the Veritas eDiscovery Platform (Clearwell), including system settings, cases, user access, and processing workflows.
* Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and security configurations in accordance with legal, IT, and compliance requirements.
* Create, configure, and maintain eDiscovery cases-collection setup, processing, culling, indexing, tagging, search, and exporting data.
* Oversee ingestion of data sources such as email (Exchange, O365, Gmail), file shares, Enterprise Vault, SharePoint, and other repositories.
* Perform system monitoring, health checks, error analysis, and troubleshooting of application, server, and connector issues.
* Work with legal, compliance, HR, and security teams to support discovery requests, investigations, and litigation workflows.
* Conduct advanced searches, keyword testing, metadata review, deduplication, and filtering to ensure accurate case preparation.
* Manage export sets, production sets, file packaging, and delivery of responsive materials in required formats (PST, ZIP, native files, load files).
* Coordinate and perform system upgrades, patching, hotfix deployment, and integration maintenance.
* Monitor storage, processing queues, indexing operations, and performance; adjust resources as required.
* Maintain audit logs, chain-of-custody records, and ensure compliance with legal standards, retention policies, and organizational requirements.
* Document processes, workflows, case procedures, and system configurations; maintain SOPs and operational runbooks.
* Collaborate with IT infrastructure teams (servers, storage, database, and backup) to ensure stability, availability, and performance.
* Provide guidance and training to legal reviewers, case managers, and internal stakeholders on platform use and best practices.
* Support troubleshooting for collections, connectors, processing errors, and export failures; work with Veritas support as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Veritas eDiscovery Platform Administration
  • Administer and maintain Veritas eDiscovery Platform (Clearwell) environments.
  • Configure and manage cases, legal holds, custodians, and collections.
  • Perform platform upgrades, patches, and system health monitoring.
  • Manage user access, permissions, and role-based security controls.
  • Monitor platform performance, storage utilization, and retention policies.

Legal Hold & Data Preservation
  • Implement and manage legal hold processes across multiple data sources.
  • Coordinate custodian identification and data preservation activities.
  • Ensure defensible preservation of electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Track legal hold notifications, acknowledgments, and releases.

Data Collection & Processing
  • Perform data collection from Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, file shares, and other enterprise repositories.
  • Process collected data for review and analysis.
  • Execute searches, filtering, de-duplication, and data culling activities.
  • Ensure chain-of-custody and audit requirements are maintained.

Review & Production Support
  • Support review workflows for Legal and Compliance teams.
  • Generate reports, audit logs, and case metrics.
  • Prepare data exports and productions in industry-standard formats.
  • Assist with regulatory audits, litigation requests, and compliance investigations.

Compliance & Governance
  • Support enterprise information governance initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and corporate retention requirements.
  • Maintain documentation related to eDiscovery policies and procedures.
  • Participate in audit and compliance assessments.

Operations & Support
  • Troubleshoot eDiscovery platform issues and resolve user requests.
  • Coordinate with Legal, Security, Privacy, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Create and maintain operational runbooks and knowledge articles.
  • Participate in on-call support and critical incident management activities.

Compensation:

We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $95,000-$105,000 Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
