This role is responsible for directing the daily operations of the branch office and leading a high-performing team.
The Branch Manager ensures that all Motor Vehicle title and registration transactions, financial deposits, and customer interactions strictly adhere to Colorado Revised Statutes, state guidelines, and internal office policies. This position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with fellow branch managers and executive leadership to align workflows and maintain a unified county-wide service standard.
Hiring Range: $82,000 - $100,359. The max pay for this position is $118,792.

Key Responsibilities:- Branch Operations: Oversee daily operations, including on-time opening/closing, transaction accuracy, back-office workflows, and central inventory management.
- Team Leadership & Performance: Train, coach, and evaluate branch staff in customer service excellence, complex transaction processing, and cash handling. Set performance goals and provide real-time constructive feedback.
- Staff Scheduling & Coverage: Coordinate branch work schedules, leave requests, and shared motor vehicle calendars to ensure proper office coverage and accommodate fluctuating workflow demands.
- Fiscal Accountability: Ensure correct execution of opening, closing, and deposit procedures. Perform weekly fiscal audits and resolve financial discrepancies in coordination with the Fiscal Technician.
- Customer & Conflict Resolution: Address complex customer service inquiries and resolve disputes with a high degree of tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Compliance & Statutory Knowledge: Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of state and federal laws relating to motor vehicles, elections, voter registration, recording, and the issuance of marriage licenses.
- Process Improvement: Assess operational bottlenecks and support the implementation of proactive, data-driven strategies to streamline workflows and enhance the customer experience.
Qualifications & Requirements:- Experience: At least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience related to the interpretation and application of complex regulations, financial management, customer service, or a related field.
- Preferred Experience: Prior supervisory experience is preferred. Two (2) years of experience working in a Colorado county Motor Vehicle department is highly preferred.
- Technical & Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and the mathematical acumen required for workplace financial functions. Demonstrated capability to master specialized, complex state motor vehicle and recording database programs.
- Communication & Resilience: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Proven ability to multi-task under pressure and remain professional, calm, and solution-oriented during frequent interruptions.
Travel & Licensure Requirements:This position will be expected to travel independently to various locations throughout the Eagle River Valley and Roaring Fork Valley to support employees, attend hearings and events, and participate in other work-related activities. A valid Colorado Driver's license is preferred but not required; however, any employee electing to operate a personal or county vehicle for official county business must possess a valid driver's license and successfully pass a background and motor vehicle record (MVR) check.
