Position Summary

We have an exciting new opportunity for a remote-based Veeva Platform Specialist. This is a full-time salaried position with a comprehensive benefits package, including 401(k), company-funded long-term and short-term disability, paid time off, paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, and more.

The Veeva Platform Specialist will support the implementation, configuration, optimization, and ongoing support of Vault CRM and the broader Veeva ecosystem. This role requires strong Veeva platform administration experience, hands-on technical capability, and the ability to partner directly with internal business teams and clients.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Platform Administration and Configuration
  • Configure and maintain Veeva CRM, user security, layouts, objects, workflows, validation rules, and business processes.
  • Configure and maintain Vault CRM reporting, dashboards, AI capabilities, and Agentic AI configurations.
  • Maintain platform documentation, SOPs, configuration guides, and user training materials.


Platform Support and Operations
  • Provide day-to-day platform administration, issue resolution, production support, and user assistance.
  • Monitor platform health and resolve incidents.


Client Implementations
  • Conduct client discovery sessions, configuration workshops, and solution demonstrations.
  • Configure client-specific solutions and support new client onboarding.
  • Execute deployment activities.
  • Partner with clients throughout implementation, hypercare, and ongoing optimization.

Commercial and Medical Operations Support
  • Configure and support territory alignments, targeting, account hierarchies, customer master data, and field force operations.
  • Support territory updates, alignment changes, and master data updates.

Data Management
  • Maintain CRM data quality, troubleshoot data issues, support imports and exports, and coordinate with Reporting & Analytics and Data Engineering teams.

Release and Validation Management
  • Support quarterly Veeva releases, regression testing, UAT coordination, defect resolution, and production deployments.
  • Develop test scripts, validation documentation, and release readiness reports.

Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform usability, automate manual processes, and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support the AI roadmap, innovation backlog, business cases, and pilot initiatives.
  • Maintain the enhancement backlog and provide process improvement recommendations.

Client Enablement
  • Develop and deliver end-user and administrator training.
  • Create user guides, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
  • Support change management and communication activities.

Collaboration
  • Contribute to the Veeva Platform team's project plans, delivery efforts, budget and expense tracking, roadmap planning, and evaluation of new service offerings.

Primary Platforms
  • Veeva Vault CRM, including Commercial, Medical, Patient, Vault AI, and X-Pages.
  • Veeva CRM, including legacy environments where applicable.
  • Veeva ecosystem connected services, including Network, OpenData, Engage, CLM, Approved Email, Align, Territory Designer, and Events Management.

  • Microsoft Power BI.

  • Freshservice Service Management Platform.


Integration Responsibilities
  • Reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Commercial data providers, including IQVIA, Symphony, MedPro, and Definitive.
  • Client data warehouses.
  • Identity and access management.
  • NICE CXone, where applicable.
  • Patient hubs and client portals.
  • Other platforms as determined.


This role is responsible for helping support client services across the following areas:
  • CRM managed services, including administration, user provisioning, configuration management, production support, incident and service request management, release management, and platform health monitoring.
  • Client delivery, including onboarding, platform configuration, user acceptance testing, and hypercare support.
  • Commercial and Medical Operations support, including territory updates, alignment support, customer master data maintenance, targeting configuration, and call planning support.
  • Client enablement, including end-user support, training assistance, documentation updates, and knowledge management.
  • Reporting and analytics collaboration, including CRM data validation, KPI data requirements, and dashboard validation.


Required Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience administering or supporting Veeva CRM or Salesforce within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, or life sciences industry. 6+ years preferred.
  • Veeva Vault CRM.
  • Veeva Align, Network, or Open Data.
  • CRM integrations and APIs.
  • Must be able to work effectively within U.S. time zones. Eastern or Central time zone residents preferred
  • Advanced skill level required.
  • Direct engagement with business stakeholders and clients required.
  • Supporting multiple client environments or managed services.
  • Configuring CRM applications, including security, layouts, workflows, business rules, and user management.
  • Supporting CRM releases, testing, and production operations.
  • Working with Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, or Medical Affairs teams.
  • Veeva Vault CRM Administrator certification required.
