Essential Job functions:

  • Administers a variety of non-invasive tests using ultrasound technology.

  • Provides excellent diagnostic echo images, correctviewsandaccuratemeasurements for: Transthoracic Echoes, Stress Echoes, Bubble studies, Definity Studies

  • Reports abnormalities to the physician promptly.

  • Clarifies and follows Doctor27s orders.

  • Completes work within an acceptabletime frame.

  • Assesses patients for potential risk factors.

  • Assumes accountability for managing patient care and safety. Promotes andmaintainsa safe,cleanand orderly environment.

  • Appropriately educates and explains procedures to patients.

  • Follows department protocol for procedures unless specified differently by the Cardiologist.

  • Insures proper identification ofpatient.

  • Provides forpatient privacy. Acts as a patient advocate andupholdpatient rights.

  • Responds effectively inan emergency situation.

  • Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.

  • Documents patient history and demographics inProSolv

  • Prioritizes and organizes work assignments and adjusts priorities based on changing situations.Isflexible to changing priorities.

  • Consults and communicates with other departments in a professional manner.

  • Employs tasking appropriately andtimely.

  • Follows department standards for reporting equipment malfunctions or problems. Ensures equipment is in acceptableconditionsby conducting routine quality control.

Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements:

  • 0 61 yearsexperiencerequired. 2-4yearsexperiencepreferred.

  • RDCS Certification from the ARDMS or RCSCertificationfromthe CCI isrequired.RVT required.

  • Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writingrequired.

  • Working knowledge & operation of Cardiac Ultrasound & Cardiac Testing Equipment.

  • Recognition of Cardiac Dysrhythmiasrequired.

  • Understanding ofcardiac anatomy& physiologyrequired.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skillsrequired.

  • Ability to use problem solving, criticalthinkingand priority setting skillsrequired.

  • Experience with Standard Office Equipment (Phone, Fax, Copy Machine, Scanner, Email/Voice Mail) preferred.

  • Experience with Standard Office Technology in a Window based environment preferred.

  • Experience with Standard Cardiac Testing & Cardiac Ultrasound Equipment preferred.

  • Experience with MUSE system preferred.

  • Experience with EHR, Practice Management System andDepartmental/AncillarySystems preferred.

Pay Range: $42.12 - $52.69 Hourly

The provided compensation range is based on industry standards and salary determinations will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience and location of position.
