Value Stream Manager, Facilities and Maintenance

ROLE PURPOSE

The Value Stream Manager I owns end-to-end maintenance and facilities operations across multiple shifts and processes within the facility. This role is accountable for workforce safety, preventative and reactive maintenance, and equipment availability - managing people, equipment, systems, and schedules while clearing roadblocks that threaten production throughput. The VSM also drives cost performance through disciplined labor and yield management and plays a key role in planning and launching new products into the value stream. The role is onsite 5 days per week, in our Grand Prairie, TX production facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan and schedule maintenance and facilities activities to meet demand while leading and supervising maintenance teams to deliver consistent results.
• Partner with the Director of Operations, Supervisors, and Team Leaders to ensure policies and procedures are clearly understood, effectively managed, and consistently followed.
• Direct Maintenance Technicians and Leads to ensure systems and equipment are operating safely and efficiently, and that preventative maintenance compliance is achieved.
• Manage labor, overtime, and yield to meet or exceed cost targets for the value stream.
• Monitor key financial inputs daily and take proactive corrective action when performance trends in the wrong direction.

ADDITIONAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Hold the value stream to the highest quality standards and ensure that systems and equipment are available to support high-output manufacturing.
• Complete Preventative and Reactive maintenance work orders and documentation accurately within the CMMS system (eMaintenance by Fluke)
• Create, document, and enforce standard operating procedures for all maintenance operations.
• Identify and drive cost reduction opportunities through process improvement, waste elimination, and smarter resource utilization.
• Build and maintain training plans that set every associate up for success within the organization.
• Provide regular, meaningful performance feedback to employees at all levels.
• Develop succession plans to ensure business continuity and organizational resilience.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or leadership role managing frontline teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing multi-shift operations across multiple process areas.
• Background in lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and management.
• Familiarity with quality control systems and standard operating procedure development.
• Prior experience managing financial targets including labor, overtime, and yield.

SPECIFIC SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
• Lean Manufacturing & CI Methodologies - Practical experience with 5S, Kaizen, or Six Sigma to drive waste elimination and sustainable process improvement.
• Production Planning & Scheduling - Ability to translate demand signals into actionable production schedules while balancing capacity, materials, and labor.
• People Leadership & Development - Proven ability to lead multi-shift teams through supervisors and leads, with a track record of coaching, developing, and retaining talent.
• Safety & Compliance - Working knowledge of OSHA standards and ergonomic best practices, with the ability to build a culture where safety is non-negotiable.
• Quality Systems & Defect Reduction - Experience working within quality control frameworks to enforce SOPs, reduce rejects, and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Operational Financial Management - Ability to manage labor, overtime, and yield to cost targets, with the discipline to monitor performance daily and course-correct quickly.
• Cross-Functional Communication - Skilled at communicating clearly across all levels - from frontline associates to senior leadership - and representing operations effectively with Sales and customers
