Full Job Description
When you join the Valuation Services group within our Financial Advisory (FA) segment, you will be part of a team working hand-in-hand with our clients to develop complex financial models to determine the fair value of various business interests and assets. Our group partners with clients to navigate strategic business initiatives and financial reporting matters associated with transformative business growth or events - such as a carve-out, IPO, merger and acquisitions. At its core, the work we do in FA is driven by change, which means the projects are dynamic in nature and the impact of your work will be highly visible.

As a Manager, you will lead the delivery of client engagements, serving as the day-to-day point of contact for the client, guiding junior consultants through the project lifecycle, and ensuring high quality projects are consistently executed on time and on budget. While developing your project and people management skills, you will further augment your advisory toolkit by digging deep into client problems in real-time and delivering ongoing thought partnership. We expect Managers to own workstreams and projects, interface directly with senior client executives, and develop tailored deliverables. With experienced leaders to guide you along the way - including a dedicated performance advisor - we are invested in accelerating your growth.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Finance, Accounting, or related field of study
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in valuation analyses for financial reporting purposes as well as tax purposes
  • Have or obtaining a CFA, ASA, or CEIV credential
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel
  • Experience with valuation concepts and approaches (income, market and cost) utilized to value: business enterprise/equity valuations, intangible assets, contingent consideration, and complex securities and debt instruments
  • You have a passion for sustaining long-term client relationships
  • You are skilled at leading and developing teams and individuals
  • You thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment
  • You readily identify problems and instinctively look for solutions
  • You believe that exceeding client expectations and having fun at work are mutually dependent
  • You enjoy participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, committees, conference panels, and firm events

What You'll Do:
  • Assist with projects which will include valuations for the following: business enterprise/equity valuations, intellectual property/intangible assets, impairment testing - goodwill and long-lived assets, contingent consideration, and stock options, complex securities, and debt instruments.
  • Directly engage with client management and their advisors to gain an understanding of their operations, processes, and strategic objectives
  • Prepare analyses for financial reporting, tax, and general consulting purposes
  • Develop financial models and analyze data in complex spreadsheets
  • Prepare narrative business valuation reports to be shared with the client as a deliverable
  • Perform industry research and competitive analysis
