Join our R&D Lab Engineering team as a Validation Engineer and play a critical role in ensuring the performance, durability, and reliability of next-generation engine systems. In this role, you will work hands-on with engines, collaborate across engineering disciplines, and help shape product decisions by delivering high-quality test plans, data, and technical insights. If you enjoy solving real engineering problems, designing meaningful tests, and working closely with mechanical, performance, and controls teams, this is an opportunity to make your expertise count. What You'll Do As a Validation Engineer, you'll ensure our products meet design intent, performance/emissions targets, and lifecycle requirements through rigorous, well-structured testing. You will: • Lead and Execute Validation Activities • Support DFMEA and DVP&R development and contribute to risk identification and mitigation. • Collaborate with Engine Development teams (Mechanical, Performance, and Controls) to define realistic, executable validation plans. • Develop clear test plans with meaningful pass/fail criteria and support unbiased assessment of results. • Drive Communication & Technical Alignment • Coordinates the communication of test plans, intent, and priorities between engineering requestors and the test lab team. • Escalate issues, risks, or roadblocks to ensure timely resolution and alignment. • Own Validation Planning & Test Execution • Coordinate DVP&R roll-up across engineering disciplines and support creation of master product-level validation plans. • Prepare input for field validation requests in partnership with system and component owners. What You'll Bring: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. • At least 2 years' experience in engine, component, or system testing/validation OR a strong academic foundation in these areas. • Working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, validation methods, and the V-model. • Understanding of reciprocating engine technology, systems, calibration, and software integration. • Strong analytical mindset, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment. • Comfortable operating in an international, multi-disciplinary environment.
