  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and modern UX/UI standards.

Job Description

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a UX/UI Web Designer. The ideal candidate will understand the differences between UI and UX design and have a creative yet organized approach to tackling problems and creating solutions. Candidates must possess superior UI skills and be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces.

Job Duties Include:
  • Work with team leadership to create wireframes, storyboards, and conceptual models for testing and building with the goal of translating any given user-experience journey into a smooth and intuitive interaction.
  • Define visual elements, product elements, and overall design.
  • Create, improve and use wireframes, prototypes, style guides, user flows, and effectively communicate your interaction ideas using any of these methods.
  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.
  • Collaborate on scenarios, end-to-end experiences, and screen designs.
  • Designing and developing websites and interactive multimedia applications from concept through deployment.
  • Creating user interface designs for applications, websites, eLearning, mobile apps, and videos.
  • Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback.
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards.
  • Ability to research, learn, and implement new technologies efficiently.
  • Responsible for creating and designing web elements that optimize user interaction and experience.
  • Creating interactive multimedia products such as web-based training, games, and simulations for a variety of platforms, including web and mobile.
  • Learning new applications and continuing to develop and expand your technical skills.
  • Being a part of a team effort for complex and collaborative multimedia productions where everyone extends their specialties.
  • Utilize modern UX/UI guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • Security Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/Poly.
  • Minimum of four (4) years direct related experience and bachelor's degree (four years of relevant experience may substitute in lieu of a degree).
  • Must demonstrate sophisticated design aesthetic and knowledge of current design trends, as well as the desire to innovate.
  • Attention to detail coupled with effective analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to diplomatically and effectively deal with government officials and program office stakeholders.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and present information to the Sponsor in a format they can understand.
  • Experienced with UI/UX Development, JavaScript, jQuery, UX requirements, UX Strategy, HTML5, and CSS3/LESS or SASS.
  • Must be highly motivated and can work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Adobe Flash, Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop).
  • Proficiency in wire framing and prototyping.
  • Experience with HTML5 and CSS.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and web platforms such as WordPress, JavaScript, Bootstrap, XML, Joomla, and/or Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience collaborating with a variety of media specialists such as video editors, producers, ISDs, and web designers to translate client needs into original and engaging multimedia products.
