Full Job Description
The Utility Projects Coordinator leads technical projects for Power Generation, Water/Wastewater Treatment, Water Distribution, and Electric Distribution Facilities. These projects implement strategic initiatives that evolve utility operations into the future and optimize current operations. Occasional oversight is exercised over craft employees, contractors and consultants as assigned.

Projects are owned and coordinated by the Utility Projects department from inception through accepted turnover to the stakeholder department(s). The Utility Projects Coordinator develops a working understanding of how utility operations work. While not necessarily an expert on everything, the coordinator must have a base knowledge with the ability to become an expert on project related areas.

This is a newly created position, established to provide dedicated ownership of initiatives that support our focus on customer satisfaction and reliability as they transition from a strategic vision through planning and execution of the initiative.

Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:

Uses judgement to identify key technical aspects of utility projects, bottlenecks, resource availability, and schedule requirements.

Sets an example and leads collaborative communications with all stakeholders to articulate "the why" and establish an agreed upon vision of project success.

Creates long- and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines.

Engages subject matter experts to complete project tasks.

Works with consultants, contractors, and suppliers on engineering studies, equipment installations and provides project documentation for assigned projects.

Sample of Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

10+ years of experience in direct or related industry experience.

Ability to exercise considerable judgment to evaluate complex technical and strategic technical issues and recommend optimum solutions.

Starting Pay Rate based on Knowledge and Experience $99,000-$124,000
