Responsibilities

Position Summary
The Key Leader Engagement (KLE) Support Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides planning, coordination, and execution support for USCENTCOM senior leader engagement activities. This role supports communication objectives, operational priorities, and Senior Military Engagement Platform (SMEP) requirements by managing engagements with key audiences across multiple operational environments. The SME develops engagement plans, coordinates stakeholders, facilitates event execution, tracks deliverables and follow-up actions, and ensures alignment with USCENTCOM strategic communication and information operations objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute Key Leader Engagement (KLE) activities supporting USCENTCOM priorities and communication objectives.
  • Develop engagement plans, schedules, objectives, participant roles, timelines, logistics, and supporting materials.
  • Support senior leader engagements by coordinating with USCENTCOM staff, interagency partners, embassy personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage engagement schedules, travel requirements, task tracking, and preparation activities across multiple concurrent efforts.
  • Coordinate and support quarterly KLE events, including direct engagements and J39 Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEEs).
  • Track engagement outcomes, follow-up actions, and reporting requirements to ensure continuity and operational visibility.
  • Maintain records, distribution lists, and stakeholder communications supporting KLE programs and products.
  • Ensure KLE activities are synchronized with broader communication, information operations, and strategic messaging efforts.
  • Travel as required to support USCENTCOM senior leadership engagements and operational events.

Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
