Role summary:
As a Staff Software Engineer at Walmart, you will lead the design and delivery of scalable platform capabilities, driving full lifecycle software development with a focus on cloud-native architecture and AI/ML integration. You will influence technical decisions, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate across functions to translate complex business needs into actionable solutions. This role demands a commitment to engineering excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement, ensuring high-quality, maintainable systems that support Walmart's strategic objectives and enhance developer productivity. The team delivers dependable software solutions by combining expertise in software development, DevOps, and solution design. Collaborating closely, members analyze requirements, design scalable architectures, and implement maintainable code using technologies such as Spring Boot. Emphasizing quality through thorough testing and continuous integration, the team manages application maintenance, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting to meet business and technical goals. Focused on continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, the team drives innovation and operational excellence in software engineering while aligning efforts with organizational objectives.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
