What you'll do...
Role summary:

Join Walmart as a Staff Data Engineer and leverage your expertise in data engineering, architecture, and governance to design and implement scalable data solutions. You will translate complex business requirements into effective data pipelines and models, ensuring data quality and compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborating across multiple domains, you will drive data integration and transformation efforts that support strategic decision-making. This role demands strong technical proficiency and the ability to deliver innovative solutions that enhance data accessibility and usability within a dynamic enterprise environment.
What you'll do:
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable data engineering solutions aligned with organizational strategy.
  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines integrating internal and external data sources.
  • Implement data governance practices ensuring compliance with regulatory, ethical, and quality standards.
  • Build and optimize data models and architectures for efficient storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs and deliver actionable business insights.
  • Develop, test, and deploy code using appropriate programming languages and tools.
  • Monitor data systems performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and scalability.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to a specific plan or program terms.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
