What you'll do...
Role summary:
As a Software Engineer III, you will lead the design and development of scalable software solutions by collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management and user experience. You will troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective resolutions to enhance system reliability. This role involves managing project requirements, coding, testing, and ensuring timely delivery while mentoring small engineering groups. You will contribute to continuous improvement by applying technical expertise in programming, automation, and DevOps practices, supporting business objectives through innovative and sustainable software development.

The Merch Space Features team focuses on optimizing product availability across stores to support sales growth, competitive pricing, and enhanced assortment through targeted promotions. Collaborating with cross-functional partners, the team delivers solutions aligned with business objectives. Members apply strong technical expertise and strategic thinking to develop innovative features, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. What you'll do:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define high-level designs and translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Develop, test, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-quality code following coding standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production and business issues through root cause analysis and effective problem-solving.
  • Lead small engineering groups by providing guidance, documentation, and support to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Implement automation scripts and telemetry features to enhance continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Monitor application performance, conduct defect management, and perform regression testing to ensure reliability.
  • Support business users by addressing technical inquiries and recommending sustainable solutions.

What you'll bring:
  • Proven experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Proven experience in programming in React and React Native
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions using iterative and incremental development methodologies.
  • Expertise in API design, component services, and platform development aligned with product strategy.
  • Skilled in debugging, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting complex production issues to ensure high availability and maintainability.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and automation scripting.
  • Strong technical acumen with knowledge of telemetry, documentation-based coding, and software testing practices.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
