Role summary: The Senior Systems and Infrastructure Engineer, Information Security, plays a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure solutions aligned with business objectives. This position requires expertise in cloud infrastructure security and automation ensuring robust system performance and compliance with security standards. The role involves collaborating across teams to develop modular, extensible designs, automate workflows, and manage capacity planning. The engineer will also contribute to risk analysis, configuration management, and continuous improvement initiatives, supporting Walmart's commitment to operational excellence and secure technology environments.
What you'll do: - Design and implement scalable, secure infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements and security standards.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and maintenance using scripting and configuration management tools.
- Perform routine infrastructure maintenance including backups, patch management, and performance monitoring.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and security issues promptly to maintain system integrity.
- Apply coding best practices to develop secure, maintainable automation scripts and telemetry features.
- Integrate security controls into CI/CD pipelines and Change Management processes
What you'll bring: - Proven expertise in infrastructure security, cloud security, and automation.
- Strong knowledge of scalability design, disaster recovery, and configuration management best practices.
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python, to develop automation and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience managing large-scale, multi-cloud environments with complex organizational hierarchies.
- Experience with CSPM tools. (Wiz, Prisma, CloudGuard, or similar)
- Knowledge of cloud resource inventory, misconfiguration detection, and compliance scanning.
- Relevant certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP).

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
