Role summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and forward-thinking Senior Software & AI Engineer to join our team and lead the development of scalable, intelligent data solutions. This role blends traditional data engineering with cutting-edge AI capabilities to support advanced analytics, forecasting, and operational reporting in a multi-cloud retail environment. You will work on building robust data pipelines, deploying AI-powered workflows, and integrating agentic systems to drive business outcomes.
About the team:

The FDL - Ecomm team focuses on SAP posting and reporting of eCommerce data, delivering reliable and scalable software solutions. The team collaborates across functions to develop, test, and maintain features aligned with platform and business goals. Emphasizing technical excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation, the team integrates advanced technologies including generative AI to enhance development efficiency. Members apply strong programming and debugging skills while supporting full lifecycle delivery and operational monitoring. This team values clear communication, accountability, and a product-driven approach to meet evolving business needs and ensure high-quality outcomes.
What you'll do:
  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Python, Scala, Apache Spark, and Airflow for orchestration.
  • Develop and deploy workflows on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Dataproc, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance using tools like Apache Hudi, GitHub Actions, and Terraform.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support retail analytics, forecasting, and operational reporting.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline performance and reliability across environments.
  • Build and deploy RAG-based AI solutions for intelligent document retrieval and contextual response generation.
  • Integrate LangChain and LangGraph frameworks to orchestrate complex AI workflows and multi-agent systems.
  • Develop Agentic AI capabilities to automate decision-making and enhance data-driven insights.

What you'll bring:
  • Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and shell scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services: Dataproc, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Vertex AI.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub, Azure DevOps.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
  • Practical experience with LangChain, LangGraph, RAG architectures, and Agentic AI systems.
  • Knowledge of retail domain data flows and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering/software engineering, with at least 4 years on GCP.
  • Google Professional Data Engineer certification is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with integrity, respect for individuals, and a customer-first mindset.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Sunnyvale, California US-04397: The annual salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $234,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
