What you'll do...
Role summary:

As a Senior Manager on Catalog's Item Integrity team, you will operate at the intersection of platform strategy, data systems, and enterprise execution. You will help shape how Walmart defines, protects, and scales item data across omnichannel contexts.

This platform-oriented leadership role blends strategy, execution, and systems thinking. You will connect business needs to durable technical solutions and drive clarity in complex environments where modern platforms are being built and legacy systems modernized.

You will partner with product managers, engineers, architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders across merchandising, ecommerce, supply chain, and operations, requiring strong judgment, adaptability, and an enterprise perspective.
About the team:

Catalog is a foundational enterprise platform that supports every part of the business, including merchandising, compliance, pricing, supply chain, fulfillment, store operations, ecommerce, and global expansion. The Item Integrity team is responsible for defining and evolving the item data model, item relationships, and data quality standards that enable these systems to work together at scale.

Our mission is to ensure item data is accurate, trusted, interoperable, and built for today's operations and tomorrow's intelligent automation. We modernize legacy assumptions, strengthen product identity, reduce friction in item and offer setup, and build capabilities that allow the catalog to maintain and improve itself.
What you'll do:
  • Drive clarity in ambiguous spaces by aligning teams on goals, scope, requirements, and prioritization.
  • Translate business goals into sequenced execution, identifying gaps, defining requirements, and aligning cross-functional teams.
  • Shape and drive platform strategy for Walmart's item data model, item relationships, catalog data quality, and item integrity capabilities.
  • Advance catalog modernization, including self-cleaning capabilities, legacy relationship transformation, and centralized data foundations.
  • Partner with product, engineering, and architects to translate strategic goals into scalable, extensible platform designs.
  • Provide visibility and accountability through metrics, risk management, dependency management, and executive-ready communication.
  • Champion enterprise outcomes by ensuring catalog is accurate, trustworthy, interoperable, and built to support future automation and intelligence.

What you'll bring:
  • Intellectual curiosity and passion for modernizing foundational systems to enable automation and smarter decisions.
  • Systems thinking across data models, platforms, business processes, and omnichannel contexts.
  • Comfort pioneering solutions where the path forward is undefined and requires creativity, experimentation, and sound judgment.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and navigate competing stakeholder perspectives.
  • Clear communication with technical, business, and senior leadership audiences, simplifying complexity without losing rigor.
  • Ability to move between architecture discussions, strategic framing, and executive communication.
  • Strong owner mindset and bias to action, balancing near-term pragmatism with long-term platform health.
  • Experience leading complex platform or data-centric initiatives at enterprise scale.
