Full Job Description
Position Summary...

As part of the Business Strategy & Operations team, you'll work directly with executive leadership on the organization's most important strategic priorities. Your work will influence organizational decisions, shape business strategy, and help define how Walmart Connect International continues to scale and evolve.

If you're energized by solving ambiguous business challenges, influencing enterprise-level decisions, and driving meaningful transformation, we'd love to hear from you.

In this role, you'll help solve some of the organization's most complex, ambiguous, and high-impact business challenges. You'll partner closely with leaders across Walmart Connect International and Sam's Club Connect to shape strategic priorities, evaluate critical business decisions, design operating models, improve organizational effectiveness, and drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys breaking down complex problems into structured solutions, and can confidently influence senior leaders through data-driven insights, strategic thinking, and exceptional executive communication.

If you enjoy bringing structure to chaos, transforming loosely defined business questions into actionable strategies, and driving meaningful organizational change, this role offers the opportunity to influence the future of one of the world's fastest-growing retail media organizations.

What you'll do...
Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership
Partner with senior leaders to tackle high-priority strategic initiatives and business challenges across Walmart Connect International.
  • Translate ambiguous executive questions into clearly defined problem statements, strategic analyses, and actionable recommendations.
  • Lead high-impact transformation initiatives that support Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP) priorities.
  • Develop structured workplans that drive clarity, accountability, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Anticipate risks, identify opportunities, and proactively recommend solutions that support long-term business objectives.

Lead enterprise transformation initiatives
Drive strategic initiatives that improve how the organization operates across international markets and cross-functional teams.
  • Design and implement new operating models, governance structures, and ways of working.
  • Evaluate organizational challenges and develop hypothesis-driven recommendations to improve business performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, clarify decision ownership, and accelerate execution.
  • Ensure transformation initiatives remain aligned with strategic business priorities and organizational goals.

Navigate ambiguity and create clarity
Bring structure to complex business problems where the path forward is not immediately obvious.
  • Synthesize qualitative and quantitative information from multiple sources into clear insights.
  • Develop strategic frameworks that help leaders evaluate tradeoffs and make informed decisions.
  • Identify key stakeholders, align competing perspectives, and build consensus across highly matrixed teams.
  • Adapt quickly as priorities evolve while maintaining momentum and focus on outcomes.

Influence through executive communication
Transform complex analyses into compelling, executive-ready recommendations.
  • Develop concise, hypothesis-driven narratives that simplify complex business issues.
  • Create executive presentations and decision materials that enable informed leadership discussions.
  • Tailor communications for diverse audiences while maintaining clarity and strategic focus.
  • Build trust with senior leaders by delivering thoughtful recommendations supported by rigorous analysis.

What Success Looks Like
Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to:
  • Bring structure and clarity to highly ambiguous business problems.
  • Think strategically while balancing practical execution.
  • Develop hypothesis-driven analyses that lead to actionable business recommendations.
  • Influence senior leaders without direct authority.
  • Build alignment across diverse, global stakeholder groups.
  • Simplify complexity through exceptional written and verbal communication.
  • Manage multiple high-priority initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Operate independently while proactively driving projects from concept through execution.

Preferred Experience
We're looking for candidates who have a strong foundation in strategic problem solving and enterprise transformation, including experience in one or more of the following:
  • Management consulting (McKinsey, Bain, BCG, or comparable strategy consulting firms)
  • Corporate Strategy
  • Business Transformation
  • Strategic Operations
  • Enterprise Program Management

Ideal candidates will have experience:
  • Leading complex, cross-functional strategic initiatives within large, matrixed organizations.
  • Advising executive leaders on organizational design, operating model transformation, workforce strategy, or enterprise change initiatives.
  • Driving alignment among diverse stakeholders with competing priorities.
  • Building executive-level presentations and communicating recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Working within advertising, retail media, eCommerce, marketplace, technology, or other high-growth digital businesses.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, strategic operations, or a combination of these disciplines.
  • Demonstrated success solving complex business problems in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and lead through collaboration rather than direct authority.
