Position Summary...

What you'll do...
The Senior Director, AI Shopping defines the vision, strategy, and business roadmap for AI-powered shopping experiences across Walmart's digital platforms. This role leads the evolution of customer-facing conversational commerce and other AI-driven shopping experiences that help customers discover, evaluate, and purchase products more intuitively.

Partnering across Product, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and business teams, this leader drives innovation that enhances the customer experience while delivering measurable business outcomes, including increased engagement, conversion, basket size, customer loyalty, and Net Promoter Score (NPS).

Key Responsibilities
AI Shopping Strategy
  • Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for AI-powered shopping experiences and conversational commerce.
  • Drive innovative customer experiences that improve product discovery, personalization, and shopping journeys.
  • Serve as the business leader within the cross-functional "4-in-a-Box" model, aligning priorities across Product, Engineering, Design, and Data Science.

Responsible AI & Governance
  • Establish standards for customer-facing AI experiences, including quality, brand voice, safety, and responsible AI practices.
  • Define evaluation frameworks and success metrics to continuously improve customer and business outcomes.

Business Performance
  • Measure and optimize performance through key metrics such as engagement, conversion, basket size, repeat visits, and customer satisfaction.
  • Use analytics, experimentation, and customer insights to drive continuous improvement and business growth.

Emerging Technologies & Innovation
  • Lead the business strategy for emerging AI shopping experiences and identify new opportunities to enhance digital commerce.
  • Monitor industry trends and translate innovation into scalable customer solutions.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Build alignment across business, technology, and executive stakeholders to deliver enterprise AI initiatives.
  • Develop business cases, influence strategic investment decisions, and foster a culture of innovation and operational excellence.

The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
