The role requires strong business judgment, comfort with complex decisions, and a deep understanding of member psychology. They will partner across Product, Marketing, Operations, Technology, Finance, and Data Science to deliver sustainable growth.
About the team:

The Membership Renewals team is focused on understanding why members renew, why they do not, and what experiences shape that decision. The team works to make renewal simple, seamless, and defect-free for every member. When a member wants to leave, the team seeks to understand the reason and determine whether the right experience, message, or offer can help them stay. This team partners across functions to improve the renewal journey, reduce friction, strengthen engagement, and build member advocacy. The work directly supports sustainable membership growth and one of Sam's Club's most important KPIs.

  • Lead high-performing teams focused on renewal growth and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:
  • Experience leading retention, membership, loyalty, subscription, or lifecycle strategies at scale.
  • Strong strategic planning skills and comfort making complex, high-impact decisions.
  • Deep experience using data, experimentation, and causal science to improve business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of customer behavior, decision-making, and member psychology.
  • Experience improving customer experiences across digital, operational, and service touchpoints.
  • Ability to influence senior leaders and align cross-functional teams around shared goals.
