What you'll do...
Role summary:

As a Principal Talent Acquisition Partner on the Officer Talent Acquisition team, you will lead Walmart's internal-only executive hiring efforts, acting as the central driver of planning, execution, and delivery across a high volume of critical leadership roles. You will ensure internal searches move with pace, rigor, and an exceptional candidate experience.

You will partner closely with Executive Recruiters, and Talent Management to unlock internal mobility, reduce friction in the hiring process, and ensure our strongest internal talent is surfaced and advanced effectively. In addition, this role will flex into leading high-impact continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen how we hire.
About the team:

The Officer Talent Acquisition & Search team is responsible for attracting and hiring senior leaders who shape the future of our business. The team includes executive recruiters, sourcers, and project managers who manage searches end to end, in close partnership with the business and People leaders.

We operate in a fast paced, high trust environment where discretion, confidentiality, quality, and clarity matter. As the volume and complexity of officer hiring continues to grow, we are investing in stronger tools, clearer communication, and continuous improvement across how officer search is run.
What you'll do:
  • Own end-to-end delivery of internal-only executive searches, ensuring clarity of process, pace, and outcomes across all roles
  • Act as the central point of contact across multiple concurrent searches, balancing priorities and proactively resolving blockers
  • Partner with Executive Recruiters to enable focus on external and hybrid searches by absorbing internal hiring execution
  • Collaborate closely with Talent Management to identify, assess, and activate internal talent pipelines across the enterprise
  • Drive consistency and rigor in internal hiring practices, including slate identification, calibration, process adherence, and decision-making processes
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to simplify workflows, enhance candidate experience, and increase speed to fill

What you'll bring:
  • 5+ years of experience in executive recruiting, talent management, or HR program leadership, with a strong bias toward execution
  • Proven ability to manage complex, high-volume workstreams with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
  • Strong project management capability, with a track record of driving outcomes in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leaders, including Executive Recruiters and HR leadership
  • A systems mindset, with a focus on process optimization, scalability, and continuous improvement
  • Strong judgment and discretion when working with sensitive executive talent matters
  • Comfort using data and insights to guide decisions and communicate progress

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
