US Applications Engineer (Hillsboro - Oregon) Would you like to be instrumental in enabling the next generation of semi-conductors? We are looking for a customer focused Applications Engineer based in Hillsboro, Oregon in the United States with experience in leading characterisation and demonstration activities for metrology equipment.

A typical day could look like this:Reporting to the Worldwide Applications Director (based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, UK) you will support our customers in the application of Infinitesima products, solving problems and developing methods to demonstrate the capability of our technology at its best.
Responsibilities: - Act as the primary customer contact for applications of Infinitesima products
- Support the customer in data collection and method development by understanding their applications and optimising the system and recipe parameters
- Drive applications projects to meet customer requirements
- Present the product and associated results to customers in a professional way
- Trouble shoot application performance to diagnose system operation and set-up issues
- Support business development, through running samples, presenting data, writing reports, conference presentations and other means
Requirements:- Master's degree/PhD in physical sciences, engineering or equivalent
- High level of technical expertise in probe microscopy (AFM)
- Ideally knowledge of the Semiconductor industry and/or metrology
- Previous sales support experience desirable, ideally working with analytical instrumentation
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Right to live and work in the US

Training clarificationThe role is based in the United States. All new hires complete an initial training period at our UK headquarters in Abingdon, with travel and accommodation support provided by the company.
